Booked this room for the long weekend as everything was fully booked. Fairly ok hotel. Service was good but the bedsheets and stuff were yellow stained . Even the fresh ones we got replaced with had a yellowish tinge. And that was my biggest turn off. Location is near the market but not in the centre of the busy streets. Parking was ample. Network coverage in the area was good so did not need wifi. To truly enjoy Chikmaglur, I’d suggest booking a hotel nearer to the coffee estates. But if you need something more city oriented, this hotel could be given a try.

The chikmagalur is amazing, best if you have your own vehicle, also get SUV vehicle if you like offroading, most of the places are free to enter but few places you need to pay forest tax or entry fees, apart from this everything was exceptional.
Lot of VEG and NON-Veg hotels available.
avoid hebbe falls as there is too much crowd and go to jhari waterfalls, it costs less as well.

It is good hill station to visit in summers, 2-3 days is enough.
There is lot of natural beauty - widlife park, mountains, waterfalls, coffee plantation, etc.
Belur is a place for temples, you can see ancient templates of Karnataka and nice stone carvings which is a rare beauty.

The sights on the hills have very narrow roads and since it was a long weekend, there were traffic jams everywhere.. wish this could be managed better on the hills, as once we are stuck, we are stuck for hours.. The jeep ride to the Jhari waterfalls was quite rough and avoid if you have sr citizens with you.. the waterfalls in itself was very underwhelming and full of people trying to bathe in it, spoiling the ambience of the place..we stayed there for less than 5 mins..

Enjoyed the beautiful Hebbe falls and Kemmangundi peak.Visited Baba budangiri and Manikyadhara also. Tried food at places like Town Canteen, Davanagere Benne Dosa, Donne biryani house and Mughal Darbar. Start early in the day so that you can cover most of the places. Do not miss the architecture beauty of Belur and Holibedu temples

Mullayanagiri peak is a great one for the view, but if...
Mullayanagiri peak is a great one for the view, but if someone has trouble climbing up the steps to reach the peak, can go to Z point trek near Kemmangudi. It is a short walk on a pathway at Z point trek, and offers equally spectacular views even from the car parking area. Z point is definitely worth a visit!
Jhari waterfalls can be avoided if one does not have enough time.
We had a superb family lunch at Trivik Resort with beautiful mountain views, but rates are on a higher side, so pls check before deciding to go there.
'World of Coffee' in Chikmagalur town offers good variety of coffee and titbits with great taste.
Halebeedu temple near Chikmagalur is worth a visit, best conserved ancient temple with superb stone carvings.
