I loved the view, the comfort of the beds, the lighting in the rooms, the room service, the food quality, and the location. Definitely value for money, considering it was only 5k for a night. The quality was no less than other 5 Star properties like the Marriott or ITC Royal Bengal, that too at less than half the price! Very good deal and wonderful, relaxing stay. Will definitely visit again!

The people have changed a lot since I last visited. The people at banks and food joints like KFC are rude. Earlier people were very pleasant and they had great etiquettes, but in my recent visit...I had a surprise.

I liked the local foods .
I liked the local foods . I didn't like the way people honk the cars on the road all the time. It was too stressful. Also Kolkata as a whole area is too dirty everywhere. Locals like to sleep during lunch hours which makes the city too slow during afternoon

It is a city of scamsters and touters.
It is a city of scamsters and touters. I have not seen a single city in the world except Kolkata where almost all cab and taxi services (including ola, uber and bikes etc) ask the customer for more money than what is shown in the app and threaten to cancel the ride otherwise. The worker class and labour class is fully corrupt

Hotel rent too expensive.
Hotel rent too expensive. Mobile SIM operators take high price. Give only 1GB data per day 28 days package.
That is horrible it isn't enough or waste of money for travelers. Who went budget tour.
Hotel is in the centre of the City. The best part is the cleanliness and the hygiene which is missing in all the hotels in that particular location. The feel of the hotel is similar to 4 star hotel. This is in the walking distance to all the attractions and the happening places in Kolkata city. The Howrah station is not very far. It is 30min by taxi.
In my opinion this is one of the best hotels in India operated in a historic building and located in the middle of Kolkata -- walking distance to everything. I love to come back every time. The food, in particular the breakfast was also marvellous, I had one of the best Thai dinners in my life -- presented by the Chef.
The location for this hotel was exceptional - just minutes from Kolkata International Airport. My husband and I appreciated the comfortable, secure room and the charming, extremely helpful staff. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone!
The staff is the highlight of this tastefully done property. They are gems.
Also the ambiance is surreal. This is by far the best boutique hotel I’ve ever stayed in - both in India and abroad.
1. Location of the Hotel is probably the best in Kolkata... in the heart of the city.
2. Someplace Else is a very nice place to hangout in the evening with beer and some lovely music.
