The very nice and welcoming owner left on a trip soon after we arrived. She left “the boys” in charge who were all very helpful and eager to make our stay a pleasant one. The hotel itself is nicely appointed with a comfortable, not too hard bed. The location is perfect. Easy walk to the castle in one direction, and the old city markets in the other. Stunning view of the castle at night from the rooftop restaurant.

Our hosts were super helpful and a fine part of our visit - they thouroughly & quickly answered any pre-arrival questions; we had several interesting conversations while there; and they were immediate in addressing any questions, needs or concerns. The room was lovely, with Indian paintings on the wall, a great view of the Fort looming over the city, and the monkeys cavorting on the nearby rooftops.

Great cozy stay near main fort and quiet lake view room. Facilities are older but it does feel homely and a little haven away from the streets once you’re inside.

I first visited Bundi 25 years ago and it doesnt seem like much has changed. It still has an old world Rajasthani desert town feel to it. The crumbling Garh Palace and surrounds are worth the visit alone, and the town has a small shop feeling to with narrow alleys and temples and a bustling market.
There weren't many tourists when i was there and that suited me fine.
The famous step wells were unfortunatly mostly full of water which is good for the locals maybe but a bit disappointing for a visitor.

Bundi, is a small hilltop place, convenient stopover between Chittorgarh and Kota/Ranthambore. Has very few sights, Boondi Palace has nothing worth seeing. Chitrashala next to it, has exquisite Bundi style wall & ceiling paintings. Bundi ASI museum, next to Sukh Mahal, is one of the finest Museums we have seen in India, with beautiful sculptures, bundi style miniature paintings, weapons tracing history of warfare from bow & arrows to rifles, well maintained. However the best part is the superb view of lighted Bundi Palace, after 7 PM, from roof top resaurants of most hotels, Cenotaph of 84 pillars also worth visiting. two full days minimum requirred. Best visited in own transport

Bundi is a bit off the Golden Triangle tourist trail and we found the locals kind and welcoming. The bazaars were fantastic as we the marvellous step wells and the centotaph Kesar Bagh Bundi - amazing with a wonderful retainer. Multilingual Jay's Cafe near the Palace serves delicious pistachio lassis. The palace - although run down is an amazing construction and worth the walk up the hill. We only found out as we were leaving that Ramgarh Visdhari Tiger Reserve buffer zone near the Suk Mahal can be visited and there are tigers. Highly recommended

Great place for a off-the-beaten-track vacation.
Great place for a off-the-beaten-track vacation. Heritage sites. Small treks to the palace, fort & Mordi chhatri. You'll stumble on some (unknown) sites.
But some of the tourist attractions are quite dirty.

Geographically, Bundi is a bowl studded with jewels.
Geographically, Bundi is a bowl studded with jewels. In the monsoon, it's surroundings are emerald green, contrasting the brown fort and the bluw aters of the lakes below.
It is a town filled with Baoris or step-wells that are unfortunately dwindling. There are lovely kunds or reservoirs too.
The fort is a revelation. Access it from the TV tower side, or Chamunda gate, and enjoy the hidden kunds and Rani ka Mahal.
The rice cultivation has really taken off in this region!
Locals are simple and very friendly, which makes the stay very special.
Food at The Food Custom is good, though a little out of town.
Morgan's and Ben10 near Nahar ka Chauhatta are also good options.

The location is perfect, it is some hundreds of meters from Bundi palace and fort. Nawal Sagar lake is the best tourist location with beautiful views and full of cafes with tasty food. The hotel building is a Rajasthani palace with a nice garden. The property staff is very helpful, Mr. Ravindra tried to meet all our expectations, and Mr. Madhu made our daily life convenient and exciting. Thanks, Nawal Sagar Palace, for your hospitality! We would like to recommend this place to everybody who comes to Bundi.
In one word: magnificent. The view from the rooftop was the reason we decided to go to Bundi. The castle view Homestay and it’s owner (and his brother) did everything to make it a very comfortable stay. We stayed here for one night in summer and were happy with the fans and AC. We loved the lunch, dinner and breakfast prepared in house by the mother. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooftop and its view was unique. Definitely recommend!
Very well located.Host friendly who helped book rickshaw, taxi, recimmended us a nice tour in the surrounding of Bundi.
The couple also runs a guest house in the countryside.
Near by Bundi Inn very nice coffeeshop, Romeo, with delicious coffee and muesli.
Fantastic value budget accommodation in the beautiful town of Bundi. Simple, basic facilities but in a fantastic location, food available and friendly staff. A great base for those looking to explore Bundi on the cheap.
A beautiful, quiet heritage hotel in the centre of Bundi. The Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were amazing. We 100% recommend staying here — this place is a gem!
