The old natural beauty and ambience is going to be destroyed very fast because of rapid aggration of the commercial building structures in and around 'khoai' areas.
City areas including Bhuandanga has become congested mostly due to enormous number of totos.

For us Bolpur meant Santiniketan and the Poush Mela ftom 24...
For us Bolpur meant Santiniketan and the Poush Mela ftom 24 to 26 December 19. It was all a memorable and rejuvenating expetience. Thoroughy enjoyed the huge mela with baul singing, a huge variety of authentic local craft items, delicious local snax and a stamp local culture. Moving around in Viswabharati campus was a never before experience of how an ideal educational institution should be. Well maintained buildings of Tagore era, soothing environment made it all. Visit to Sonajhuri local haat a 2 kms away was another add on to remember.
Keep enough space in your bags for shopping.

Viswa Bharati University is worth the visit.
Viswa Bharati University is worth the visit. The museum showcasing Gurudev’s life journey is amazing. Only thing is they shut at 1 pm for lunch. There were hundreds of tourists coming from far off places so they should keep it open entire day
Excellent place to stay with family. Beautiful balcony attached with room. Too little distance from Bolpur-Santiniketan rail station. Manager is co-operative in all time. Distance from Visva Bharati campus, Sonajhuri-Khoai, Aamarkutir, Kopai are too short. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner were owesome. Roof garden was excellent.
The room and toilet were very clean, very comfortable, and the staff behavior was amazing. The hotel location was good, in a quiet place with 3 sides open with Lovely big balcony ❤️... Service was excellent. Food quality was good as well.
Location is little far from Bolpur station. Need to change bed as its sounds bad. Outside sitting in garden was too good. Location is too calm. We like it.
