The holy city that now proudly hosts the great Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple is a must visit for all people of faith. Sure, the city is still developing in terms of infra and facilities to host the huge number of visitors but the residents and locals are extremely patient and helpful.
There are hundreds of small and big temples to visit of which of couse the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple and Shri Hanuman Garhi temple are on the top of the list including Saryu Ghat and others. A definite must visit.

Out of last 2 years of experience and multiple stays in Ayodhya, local people here are very money minded, those operating homestays cannot be trusted as they are running scams, they are not at all helpful and they are very rude, abusive with tourists. There is nothing special in food they serve.

Like other holy places in India, one gets ripped off by unscrupulous locals at every turn.
It is recommended to find a car with driver who has local knowledge and who can take you to the various places of interest in and around Ayodhya - cost should be upto 2000 rupees for the full day.
Due to regular events and activities, there is a fair amount of walking to get to the Ram temple as roads get closed off to most wheeled traffic.
Locals will accost you near temples and forcibly place sandalwood paste on your forehead, and then demand payment.
Food choices are widespread, and even non-vegetarian places were sighted, possibly due to the diverse religions practiced in the city.
Average time to enter the Ram temple is around 2 hours - complimentary storage of shoes and phones is provided outside the temple as these are banned from being taken inside. The vast majority of people visiting the temple think that pushing and shoving will benefit them, and queue jumping is commonplace - all this is to no avail, as the stampede causes people to barely spend a few seconds in front of the main deity inside the temple!
There are markets and stalls outside the temples which offer a variety of shoes, clothes and artefacts - prices are quite reasonable.
For a city that is steeped in so much history and religious significance, it is a shame that the temple construction was accelerated, but did not factor in new accommodation, more travel options or improved infrastructure.

At Airport taxi service is slow and we went through auto.
At Airport taxi service is slow and we went through auto. Kindly get auto or taxi after the exit of airport and ask for bargaining as they offer higher charges near airport. Best was we did not faced problem while viviting Ram Mandir. Good management . No VIP Lane. In spite of rush we visited temple without any problem. Only issue was we had to walk about 30 minutes to reach temple. After Ram mandir there is Hanuman ghari to visit. There was some crowd and lack of management.
Lata Mangeshkar chowk is good to watch.

Ayodhya is a complete city, with all facilities.
Ayodhya is a complete city, with all facilities. Ram Mandir is very organised and darshan can be made even if one can’t get a pass for darshan. The city offer only vegetarian food options, Hanuman Gargi may also be visited along with Ram Mandir. Vande Bharat is a premium train for a comfortable journey, international airport is also there
