The property is located at an excellent location. The room was clean. Breakfast varieties were great. Only drawback is additional services which hotel provides like house boat experience which was too costly for 2 hours. I actually paid more to hosue boat than the room itelf.

I have just had the most wonderful four days at Allepey Beach. Everything was perfect. Daniella and Reggie were the perfect hosts, great fun and very welcoming. The bungalow was very big , nicely decorated and a few steps from the beach. I had dinner there every night which was delicious. Breakfast was amazing, great coffee and I could have lived on the fruit alone! It's very tranquil, peaceful and spotlessly clean. All the staff that work there are super nice. I can't think of a way they could make the place more perfect. I loved it so much I'm going back in two days time.

Some wonderful views. It's a safe area. Some of the prices are very low and the food is excellent. Two days is enough in Kochi, one day enough in Athirapilly, three days Munnar, three days Kumily. We finished off with seven days in Alleppy which was a day too long. Research on accomodation essential. Don't be frightened of homestays or eating out but be careful and wash your hands properly and often especially after handling food. Bargain down trips and purchases but not too much; people are poor and sometimes desperate for work - don't take advantage by arguing ovr £1!!!

Lakefront experience, inland from Kochi and slightly different. Less infrastructure. Ok place to be if you are not in a hurry. Quite muggy but that is to be expected for the region. If you like the idea of a houseboat, look into it. Land based accommodations are variable.

The backwaters around Alleppey are unique.
The backwaters around Alleppey are unique. This alone is well worth the trip, cruising along the canals and watching life in the homes and villages along the backwaters.
Alleppey also has outstanding beaches nearby like Marari.

I have booked houseboat thru agoda.but they have cancelled my booking without informing me. "why not Houseboat" people told that they tried to contact me.But the number was not reachable. Then I checked their call list and saw the contact no they tried is completely wrong number and also I have not receive any intimation from agoda regarding my houseboat booking cancellation.I fallen in very awakard sutuation. Then some how I managed one house boat .But its very bitter experience.I would suggest to book a decent hotel for stay in Alleppy where you can pay by card in advance and for back water ride do booking seperately.

Lovely little hotel, had a friendly feel to it. Reasonable sized rooms- very comfortable and clean. Staff were great - able to help with a transfer to our houseboat when we checked out, and cashpoint location. Breakfast was tasty- we had the traditional Keralan option. Close to the beach and to access some beachside places to eat in the evening. Had a little garden area, and outside balcony area to sit surrounded by lush plants. Close to the Alleppey Lighthouse attraction.
The best option to stay in Alleppey. Awesome, quiet place near the beach. Large and clean rooms with ocean view . Very friendly hosts can help with all your wishes and make for you delicious native food. The rooms were clean and tidy, the view from the room to the beach was superb. The apt place to spend holidays with loved ones. The hospitality and the staffs were polite and very helpful. Highly recommended
Danish and the entire staff running the Dutch Square Hostel are incredibly warm and wonderful hosts. They were highly accommodating, friendly and gave great guidance for the things-to-do in Alleppey. They even went so far as to help arrange my country boat tour very late in the day upon a special request. The property is stunning and very well maintained. Highly recommended for solo travellers.
The location is ideal, as it is 3 minutes walking from the boat station and the bus Stand. The staffwas very kind and helpful. We did not have much time in Alleppey, and they arranged a tuktuk ride so that we could see the main sites of the city. It is a lovely family. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we went back to Alleppey.
Nice house, very clean, quiet and confortable rooms with tea facilities. Staff were incredible , and both Vimal and Sunita were always kind and helpful and they arrange boating as well. Breakfast OK.
The place was in a quiet street very close to the boating canal and 10 min walk to main Alleppey's street and attractions.
