The hotel was in a beautiful location. It was such a quiet hotel to stay in which I loved , the interior of the rooms with the map built into the desk and lockers was very nice ,the bed was very comfortable as were the pillows , the staff were all really nice , the leisure center although a bit dated had everything you needed and it was very quiet . Village and beach both within walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast was included in the price . I had asked for an earlier check in and they accommodated it no problem. They are very eco friendly and didn't provide any unnecessary plastic like shower hats and small soaps instead there is a hand soap /body wash on the wall in a reusable bottle . I would 100% stay here again

We liked that we had the entire place to our selves. We were glad we arrived during daylight because it is a bit difficult to find in the dark. We liked the kitchen. Liked the living room. Beds were comfortable. Very quiet place to sleep!

The owner was so friendly and the property was so clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The big plus for us was the small town atmosphere and we felt totally safe!

We set out on a BnB tour of Ireland looking for that perfect home-felt place and we finally found it at Glencora. We just absolutely love Annie, and she not only welcomed us as guests, she made us feel at home. We arrived late but she was welcoming and got us settled in. After a few days of uncomfortable beds, the bed at Glencora was a great surprise and we got the best night's sleep. Breakfast was the fabulous! And we got that chance to chat with our host and we appreciated that personal touch. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The house was really comfortable for our family wedding in West Cork. We had plenty of space and the house was warm, great wifi. Union Hall is a pretty village and easy to travel to other interesting places. We walked the hill at Three Castles which was a great hike with amazing views and we visited Liss Ard estate which was really lovely. Overall a great place to visit.

- Very small but in a good way if you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil spot. Very walkable. No tourist shops. 👍
- It has 5 walking/hiking options, varying in length and difficulty, 4 lead to the ocean.
- One grocery store. A few coffee shops, and a couple of full scale restaurants. Sunday roast is a traditional meal here.
Neighboring GLANDORE, (5 minute drive), has 5-6 options for food and is more lively in the evening. This is where we ate both nights. There’s a cute pub that serves wood-fired pizzas. Indoors has a beamed ceiling and a beautiful, cozy little stone fireplace with a crackling wood fire going. It gets cold enough in the evenings in late June to use it!

Union Hall is small, affluent and safe.
Union Hall is small, affluent and safe. Perfect for a weekend break easy and picturesque drive from Cork Airport. Easy walking distance to many places of natural beauty and there is a working fishing pier situated in the village. Pubs, with exceptional friendly service and good quality local produce, are excellent . Can walk there. There is a well stocked local Centra supermarket which sells essentials such as wine, hotly prepared food and coffee to go. Glandore is about 2 miles away around the bay, Easy to get to Schull, Clonakilty, Mizen Head as well as Beara Peninsula. Kinsale is a about 45 mins drive. Perfect stop for seeing the beauty West Cork

Union Hall is a gem.
Union Hall is a gem. Outstandingly beautiful location and a lovey holiday destination. All the main attractions of West Cork are easily accessed while the village pub/restaurants (2), are very good. The Dock Wall in particular was excellent while Hayes's across the estuary in Glandore was outstanding.

It's a small village, with a shop, a cafe that is only open at the weekends, and one great pub (and a second OK pub). The people are friendly, but there is not much else here. With a few more shops and cafes, it could be a bustling little port village, but it needs some investment. It is a great location for visiting other places, and it has some nice walks around the area (although it is a hilly location).

Where will I start with the Shearwater there are so many pluses! Union Hall is a beautiful area & the view from this property is amazing. The house and rooms are exceptional. The breakfast is by far the best we have had in any hotel or B&B for years, simply delicious! Have to mention this accommodation has a huge plus...it’s host Adela. What a beautiful kind helpful genuine person. She goes out of her way for you. Thanks so much for all you did for us, we really appreciate it. Can’t wait to come back.
We had a very nice spacious room with a great view over the garden at this lovely B and B. The hosts, Carol and Jim were very welcoming and the breakfasts were great. (Particularly liked the bowl of freshly chopped fruit each morning.) Union Hall was a great place to enjoy some West Cork countryside.. we did a fabulous 3 hour e-bike tour around the area complete with folk tales which enabled us to discover some beautiful spots. Highly recommended.
Beautiful home in a stunning location. Perfect base for exploring the surrounding areas or simply staying local and enjoying a more relaxed pace. Michael and Sheelagh were great hosts. Looking forward to being able to return to Union Hall again in the future.
Julie is an amazing host even did our washing.
Beautiful accommodation, great location and the breakfast was best we’ve had in Ireland.
We highly recommend staying with Julie at Seascape in Union Hall.
