Fantastic from start to finish. Staff made the weekend from we walked through the door. The most friendly welcome from Catherine at the front reception on arrival. All requested we had asked for when booked were granted. Restaurant and bar staff were so attentive on such a busy weekend 🎅. Caroline showed great organisational skills the following morning at breakfast to make sure our large family were seated together for breakfast at the same time and that all breakfast stations were fully stocked, and that the breakfast was hot at all times. Due to the poor weather in Donegal that weekend, the staff in the hotel went above and beyond what was expected to ensure all the kids had a memorable weekend

Great location, walking distance to Kees Hotel, ,( food delicious, the team are fantastic and live music at the weekend, its a must during your stay in Stranorlar)short walk into Ballybofey, lovely walk along the River Finn, Drumboe Woods, public transport ( Number 64 bus) will take you to Derry and Galway with plenty of stops in between, for example Donegal Town or Sligo, neighbouring town of Letterkenny
The people of Stranorlar are very friendly and helpful !

It's an extremely busy spot with tail backs for commuters, probably needs to be bypassed. A lot of derelict buildings but that can be said for a lot of small towns/villages. Some lovely flower beds planted.

The rooms are fairly standard they have a kettle for tea and coffee our only concern was that the road traffic could be heard in our room otherwise it was a really peaceful atmosphere and a pleasant place to stay would recommend it.

I booked a double but we ended up with a junior suite which was lovely and in character with the age of the hotel.
