It had everything I needed for my weekend away in the beautiful Beara peninsula.
Connie and Jess are absolutely fabulous souls, that had real time and good advice.
The room I had was massive, the bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was powerful.
And not forgetting Flossy there Labrador, with an equally beautiful personality.
Everything here is excellent.
Close to 3 bars where I had a great night on the Friday night (Jimmys) with live traditional music.
I will be back ASAP.
Thank you 🙏 for everything.

Fran was an open and warm host who made me feel at home in her beautiful home. Delicious full Irish breakfast included. With the village and beach close by this is a superb place to rest when in the area.

We were extremely happy with our stay. The Host greeted us on arrival and showed us around the property. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathroom was also incredibly clean. The room and bathroom were both heated so it was a lovely temperature. The breakfast was very nice, lots of options and the presentation was excellent.

The cottage was great, it is out of the way - the nearest town Castletownbere is a few minutes drive away and there is a supermarket, restaurants... but the peace and quiet is wonderful, we had daily visits from pheasants in the courtyard.
The cottage is excellently equipped, the rooms large, everything very clean - the landlord even provided us with fresh fruit and wood for the fireplace and there was also food in the fridge.
There was only one problem, we had booked 2 bedrooms (which was confirmed) but the landlord had received confirmation from Booking for 1 bedroom. However, Declan responded immediately to our message and he then unlocked a 2nd bedroom for us. However, it was definitely not the landlord's fault, the error was with Booking.com - Declan responded promptly as described and was very nice. I can recommend the accommodation with full conviction.

We loved everything. Michael and Melissa were super hosts. The guest house is beautiful and so is the location. Breakfasts were generous, so you won't go hungry. Thank you both for a lovely stay!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Micheal was super friendly and the cottage had every thing we needed! Would love to come back in the summer!
Biased as my family come from the area.
There is plenty to explore in the area from the mines to the strand.
Dursey cable car is fun and nice walking on the island
The local mine museum is good for rainy days.
O'Neils bar has local traditional music every Sunday and in summer occasionally on Wednesdays and Thursdays
The Dursey Deli in the village does excellent fish food in the evenings mostly landed that morning off the trawlers

Loved the village, The Copper Mine Museum is a must, as is the Beara Barista and Dursey Deli. Lots of nice eateries- mainly takeout. Lots of good walking trails. Lovely and quite when we went but probably very lively during the height of the season

When we arrived the weather was atrocious, but it does not take from the beauty and majesty of the Beara Peninsula. The weather improved on the second day and the magic increased. The Copper Mine Museum is a disappointment, none of the interactive displays were working and the entry price of €6 does not represent value for money. The walks and hikes are clearly signposted as are any local attractions. Allihies is a great base from which to explore the stunning Beara peninsula

Everything! The location is great ( not for the faint of heart though - the road to Allihies is rather challenging but worthwhile)
The room is everything you can ask for after a long day: clean line design, comfortable and spacious.
Mary is a great host, very accommodating, and the breakfast generous and varied. If we had the chance we would have stayed a whole week
With Mary you definitely get value for money. A friendly welcome and a lot of helpfulness. We thoroughly enjoyed the very diverse breakfast buffet. A particularly beautifully situated guesthouse in the very pleasant village of Allihies, with beautiful sea views and a nice sandy beach.
The host, Mary, couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful! The B&B is located right on the Ring of Beara and the view from the property is exceptional. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean and the water pressure in the shower was amazing.
Very clean comfortable. Almost homely feel. Great breakfast. Stunning views and great location. Loved every minute of being in Allihies and staying at the guest house. Mary and family runs a very efficient and pleasant place.
