Compact hotel with compact but adequate rooms that were clean and well equipped. Restaurant was very good for dinner--very good food, large portions, good price, and friendly staff. The included breakfast was good, served to order, and covenient.

Countryside location. very quiet less than 10 minutes from Castleblayney. Right down the road from where mt great grand father was born. Home away from home my 2nd time staying there. The owner stopped by to make sure everything was okay. I will be staying there on my next trip.

We were really only passing through the area, not visiting Cootehill itself as a destination. We did have a very average meal in one of the pubs. A very colourful village, but without a good reason to stay nearby, the best thing about it was our accommodation house.

The Errigal County house hotel is a hidden gem in Co Cavan. Highly recommend this hotel from friendly,easy, quick check-in to the high standard of food served in the bar. Homemade hearty vegetable soup, delicious chicken wild mushroom rositto to the most delicious rhubarb and ginger creme brulee. 4 star hotel at reasonable prices. The bedroom was larger than most hotel rooms with a balcony overlooking the gardens.
Ronan was a great and informative host who made our stay easy and welcome. We were attending a wedding in the Errigal hotel and decided to stay in the town. The hotel is a 5 minute drive away, and the hotel runs taxis and coaches at the end of the night which made the apartment location ideal for the night and the morning. I would recommend the Side Street Cafe for breakfast the next day!
The hosts were fab and the room was lovely! Great space in the family room and own private bathroom!
The hosts gave us taxi numbers and they gave us a lift to the hotel where our friends wedding was.
