Family of 2 adults and 2 children (ages 4+7)Room was spacious and spotless clean. We didn't have to ask for anything as everything we needed was readily available. Food was great and reasonably priced. We had breakfast and dinner there. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Picked Leannas lodge as we were visiting family close by. Really enjoyed our stay. The picturesque town of Carrick-on-Shannon is home to the Aisleigh Guest House. The River Shannon is just a 10-minute walk and bedrooms have en suite shower rooms and TVs.

We were there for St Patrick's Day. Enjoyed the parade and loved that the whole community got involved. Nice bars snd restaurants. And plenty of things to see and do in tbe surrounding areas, especially the Arigna coal mines.

Leitrim is a very small city and we only stayed for one...
Leitrim is a very small city and we only stayed for one night. It was very difficult to find a place to eat :( I'm a vegetarian and one place was still serving food, but they didn't have anything I could eat. The other place had already closed the kitchen on a Sunday at 7.30 PM and there were only drunk men hanging around in those places... We had to get takeaway pizza in the end but that wasn't very good either, unfortunately. I don't think there is much you can do there during the day but it's surely easy to get around.

Nice restaurants especially The Jacaklope in The Shed Distillery Drumshanbo. Great activities available on Lough Allen.
