Natives very friendly. Great walks and places of nterested. Good service in local bar - Salmon leap. Also St Mary's GAA facility bar and entertainment very good. Where we stayed staff not welcoming or helpful. No communication. Weather bad but nothing can be done about that.

Leixlip is a small town, very friendly but Leixlip Manor was not up to scratch. We found a nice restaurant in Leixlip as the Leixlip Manor had no food for evening meal although we were advised it had. It was very disappointing, We were thankful we only stayed one night.

The only good thing about this hotel was the friendly receptionist that greeted us. The hotel is horrendouse. I would NOT recommend anyone to stay here and highly advise to consider alternative accommodation if you are considering staying here.

Hotel is in great location for liffey valley shopping centre. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good and evening dinner was good. Down side was bathroom shower hose sprayed out water went out onto floor. The sink stopper didn't work and also the toilet didn't flush very well. Had to put curtains up on window sill so the heat of radiator could get out.

Pretty little Irish village just outside Dublin iwth strong links to the Guinness family. Lovely walks along the river Liffey and countryside with plenty of pubs and dining options. Only 1/2 an hour by car from the airport, ferry terminals and Dublin City. 2 train stations with journey to Dublin also about 1/2 an hour and good value plus decent bus services. Liffey Valley shopping complex is also nearby. Overall providees the best of both worlds for a city/country stay

The staff were very helpful. The girl who checked us in and the bar man on in the evening were very nice. In particular the kitchen staff , 2 males from another country were very friendly and helpful. The staff who might have been Portuguese or Brazilian , came to wish us well as he finished his shift at 9pm. His service was excellent. That staff working in the hotel are what set this apart from other hotels. I would recommend this hotel because of the good staff working there.

Grainne saved my life that day, mine and my tourist's too!;) We had no rooms to stay at the nearby hotel, and I found her place which is located in the same district - I love Leixlip neighborhood, it's nice and peaceful there, far away from Dublin crowd!:) And so was the lodge! Apart from that, as I had no place to go, Grainne let me stay - as she had no more apartments available - at her own house! Amazing hospitality!:))

Comfortable clean and spacious room, Staff very professional and personal service. Great for a business stay - I used it as a stopover travelling from the Dublin airport (only 20 minutes away) in the late evening, heading West the next day, which gave opportunity to miss the morning Dublin traffic and the hotel is ideally situated for that.

Booked online, paid up front. Turned up and the hotel was closed and the property in total darkness. No warning. I have complained to the hotel and gotten no reply.
