We were attending a concert in Dublin but did not want to pay Dublin hotel prices so Kildare and the Kildare House Hotel was perfect. We got the Green Bus from Kildare Village into the city center. The Kildare village Outlet was great for shopping the following morning.

Kildare is a small town, has lovely square with plenty of seating areas. Few shops, and nice cafe's with great food there. 10mins from the Shopping Village if you like shopping. Relaxing and friendly there. Would stay there again.

Silken Thomas is a lovely place to stay for a short visit to Kildare. It is in a great location and near to Kildare Village, Japanese Gardens and The Curragh Racing Course. I would be happy to stay there again but on arrival I would check for a bath plug and no dangerous chairs.

We loved Kildare and would recommend, unfortunately it was rather wet so restricted our walking but still enjoyed. The pubs were fabulous, very friendly people, wished it was our last port of call in Ireland instead of the first as there is a huge designer outlet complex and no room to carry all the purchases I would have liked to indulge in 🤪

Rooms are modern and clean with everything you need and more. The restaurant is amazing we really enjoyed the food and drinks. The staff are the best I have met anywhere. We have been coming here the past few years for our family Christmas shopping trip, 3 min drive to Kildare village and 1ins to newbridge. Zero complaints- see you next year!
The bed, duvet and pillows were unreal! So comfortable!
Lovely bathroom also!
Honestly didn't know what to expect as we arrived to a pub. The rooms are in separate apartments behind the pub so this is not a hotel but a gorgeous room to stay in. Ideal if you are all shopped out after kildare Village. Would absolutely stay again.
In my opinion this hotel should be a 4*. I had a fabulous stay here. It's done up beautifully for Christmas but is tasteful decorated besides this. The staff are friendly & helpful. The rooms are spacious & spotless. Food is exemplary, both dinner & breakfast were excellent. Highly recommend & can't wait to return in December.
Host was lovely and the place was perfect. Everything a couple needed for a shopping trip in Kildare. The complimentary cereal/milk/bread/butter was a lovely touch.
