Fabulous experience, we stayed in the Pamela suite which is amazing, spacious, beds are so comfortable, clean, beautiful style. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, food is excellent and reasonably priced. There was live music in the bar in the evening. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The establishment is located in the centre of the town and about 15min walk to Kildare Village. I cannot fault anything and I will be back. Thank you.

This is such a beautiful escape to the countryside. We stayed in pod 3 and it was spectacular for views of the beautiful barley fields. The pod is just the perfect size for 2 with a cosy queen bed, some kitchen facilities and a perfectly running shower and bathroom. We sat out and it was so peaceful even with others staying in the other 2 pods, we hardly knew they were there. Highly recommend and we will certainly be back !!
It’s located 15min drive from shops so make sure to stock up on food and drink but this isn’t a problem as it’s the type of place you want to be far away from everything

The Studio is just that - a studio apartment complete with full kitchen, queen bed and small pop up table and chairs. Siobhan took care of everything - including lovely shampoo and bodywash in the good sized shower, crisps and chocolates and fruit and water all waiting for you in the kitchen as well. It is beautifully decorated and super comfortable. She is VERY responsive when you need something or have a question - even dumb questions (thanks, Siobhan!!! 😁) Could not have had a better stay and will definitely come back to this centrally located property in Kildare.

Kildare is a small town, has lovely square with plenty of seating areas. Few shops, and nice cafe's with great food there. 10mins from the Shopping Village if you like shopping. Relaxing and friendly there. Would stay there again.

Silken Thomas is a lovely place to stay for a short visit to Kildare. It is in a great location and near to Kildare Village, Japanese Gardens and The Curragh Racing Course. I would be happy to stay there again but on arrival I would check for a bath plug and no dangerous chairs.

We loved Kildare and would recommend, unfortunately it was rather wet so restricted our walking but still enjoyed. The pubs were fabulous, very friendly people, wished it was our last port of call in Ireland instead of the first as there is a huge designer outlet complex and no room to carry all the purchases I would have liked to indulge in 🤪

A gorgeous hotel in a central location in the heart of Kildare.
All rooms are on the first floor. There is a lift, which we appreciated as we were travelling with my elderly mother-in-law.
The café underneath is lovely - very comfortable place to relax and dine.
Rooms themselves are very well decorated with a lot of care put into picking the furnishings. The deep rich teal on the walls is very luxurious.
The warmest of welcomes await anyone staying at The Veterinary. Such a wee gem, in the heart of Kildare. Super comfie and warm, a real home from home.
