Beautiful little cottage in achill with the back drop of the Minaun Heights and the Atlantic Ocean in front of you with 2 pubs, restaurant and coffee shop 1 minute walk away literally. The beach is only a 5 minute walk or less too.
The place was immaculately clean , the beds were very comfy, nice and warm and heats up quickly.
Our host Catherine was very accommodating and even had fresh baked scones and bread for us on arrival , highly recommend 😀

Keel is a beautiful place on Achill Island with amazing beaches stunning views peace & tranquility. The people are very hospitable & friendly. Lovely bar resturant Amesthyst where we dined and had the most delicious meal & drinks. Plenty coffee food trucks and lovely cafe called the Beehive. These were all within walking distance of where we stayed. You can easily cycle or drive around Keel & Achill Island. If you like sheep & baby lambs you won’t be dissapointed they are all over the island 🙂Keem beach is a few miles from Keel and we’ll worth a visit. It’s a little piece of heaven with amazing views aqua sea and golden sand.

The scenery was unbelievably beautiful.
The scenery was unbelievably beautiful. I felt as though I were on another planet. The free range sheep are everywhere, so drive slowly. They ran right up to my car. There were several viewing points and benches. I wish I had planned more time during nicer weather, the hiking would be fabulous.

We were beyond impressed with the place. The owners met us on arrival and complied 100% with covid regulations
We were shown to our suite The place was impeccable,
Breakfast next morning was above 5 star.. Service was efficient and personal to a most impressive level.
We were served tea and coffee in the garden after breakfast, which was most appreciated, giving us relaxation time on fabulous sun loungers. We had an evening meal , which was un-describable The food was superb, cooked to perfection.
We had an amazing stay
Will we return ???
YES. DEFINITELY 👍

Keel itself is only a small village without a real centre, but the surrounding countryside is wonderful, dramatic in all weather and a fascinating history. Within a few miles, there are wonderful beeches, hill walking and coffee stops. Surfers have easy access to supervised waters.

It was a warm and clean house, with a well equipped kitchen (although no dishwasher), and a washing machine. The beds were very comfortable and there were lovely big white towels. The outside area was secure for our dog and there was an airer to hang the washing. Whilst the house interior wasn’t modern it was all very comfortable and a relaxing place to stay. The house is in the centre of Keel only a few minutes walk from the beach, supermarket, cafe, pubs and takeaway. Also lovely arrive to find scones, jam, bread and wine.
A fantastic stay in Stella Maris, which is over looking Keel beach located right at the end of the back garden. Stunning views and the most welcoming hosts, Clodagh was such a gem and couldn’t do enough for myself and my daughter.
Great selection of pastries, scones, fruit and some hot dishes for breakfast helped set us up for our day’s adventure's.
Perfect location with a number of cafe/restaurant/pub in walking distance of the B&B.
We already can’t wait to go back.
Fantastic hotel with amazing decor, our room was lovely and so unique. Hosts were so helpful, couldn't do enough for you and very interesting. Location was amazing and our room had amazing views over the island, so peaceful.
