Kilmactrasna Cottage, hotel in Inniskeen

Kilmactrasna Cottage enjoys a location in Carrickmacross, 16 miles from Proleek Dolmen and 16 miles from Maudabawn Cultural Centre.

my girlfriend and I spent two nights here last week. We were on a low budget exploration of Ireland. It was easy to reach by bus 980 from Dublin. From the main bus stop in the twon you walk only 12 minutes. So we could enjoy our drinks in town and later walked "home". The taxi was quite cheap but we opted to walk into town. The place is clean and you get breakfast. Pascall, the gentleman who served us is a cool mature man who is particular about healthy foods. For instance, he has low fat and low sugar food for breakfast. We quite enjoyed the home made scones, the calm environment and peaceful home-like hospitality and facilities. This is a to go place when in Carrickmacross and nearby towns like Ardee, Dundalk, etc. We are planning to make is our regular weekend or holiday place.

Other than the issue with no jacuzzi tub, we really liked our room, we rented a suite, and it was really large and very reasonably priced. The bed was super comfortable.

Absolutely nothing! The room smelled and had to sleep with an open window. Overpriced way beyond what offered Uncomfortable bed The employees did not care even when complained. In fact, they deliberately made my checking out difficult. Pictures are deceiving. Below average. Horrible experience.

They have 2 big aggressive dogs and one of them attacked my wife. We was scared to go out or come to the property. Very bad experience! The living room and kitchen was located. No tea or coffee in the room ! For this money I can get much better place! Online pictures are lie ! It's a old house and not comfortable..I mean ugly inside... On the breakfast was a problem to get tea and coffee ... Breakfast was not that good ! JUST BAD EXPERIENCE!
