Belleek Castle, Ballina, hotel in Enniscrone

This beautiful and historic castle is set within 1,000 acres of woodland. On the banks of the River Moy, it boasts a restaurant made from the remains of a 17th-century Spanish galleon.

The breakfast was dissapointing as it was in the cafe and not in the castle. Limited choice. No cerals other than poridge and no fresh fruits, yougarts or pasteries which you wound expect in a 4 star hotel. Main restaurant food was fabulous. Very beaitiful venue

Seafront House, hotel in Enniscrone

Situated 41 km from Mayo North Heritage Centre, Seafront House features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

Friendly & helpful hosts. Both attentive when required, & respectful of privacy. The room was so cosy & had a stunning view of the sea & the fields. Horses, cows & sheep all around. I loved the closeness of the sea, waking up & going to sleep to the sound of it. The freshness of the air & walking the stony, rocky beach when the tide was out each morning & walking the headland, rocks & fields each evening when the tide was in. Patricia & Seamus' home provides the perfect location to unwind, so I highly recommend at least a few nights stay in order to truly relax; with beach walks & safe cycling (I brought my bike) around the lanes & if you love to read, there's a very comfortable private lounge with all around sea views where there are some basics for a breakfast should you require it. There's a kettle, microwave toaster & tiny fridge, with milk, butter, bread, tea/coffee, cereals. I particularly loved the availability of instant porridge oats, & 2 different brown breads, as I don't eat white. So a fairly healthy breakfast. I brought my own honey. If you like to have a cuppa in bed in the morning & don't want to come down stairs then bring a little travel kettle with you. Both Easky & Enniscrone are close for shops/Restaurants, though the latter is best for both since few serve food all day, many not serving meals until 5 pm. I highly recommend The Beach Bar & Restaurant about 30 mins drive from Seafront House, turn off down a side road beyond Easky. It serves all day & is so worth a visit. So, I think it's fair to say that you do need a car. I'm adding some photos to help finding Seafront House, though I'm sure most people have no bother at all finding it. I'm not very big on tech. On the main Sligo/Ballina road, between Easky & Enniscrone, you'll see The Star of the Sea R/C Church, Rathlee. Turn down the road beside it.

Beautiful town with lots of excellent bars.

Beautiful town with lots of excellent bars. Very picturesque and no short of places to take some amazing pictures. The beach is a must visit, very sandy and waves high enough to surf, if you cant surf, then there are people to watch who can. Very close as well to Ballina which has all the major supermarkets in and is only a 12-15 min drive. Be sure to have lunch before 4pm as all the places close at that time, even the takeaway pizza and pasta place

We were just passing through on a quick overnight stop, so were not really looking for things to do. It looked like it had activities for kids such as the waterpark, playpark, and the beach! Nice little cafe Tracey's place for a breakfast or coffee.

So many walks everywhere ❤️ There are a few really good eating places in the town too. We all went for a seaweed bath,a very unique experience very worthwhile to do ,totally recommend to do while your there, your skin feels amazing afterwards! We would definitely return again and stay longer next time as is a great focal point for exploring the west of Ireland, and the locals we met too were so friendly and helpful.🥰❤️🥰

Waterfront House completely exceeded my expectations! The room was perfect, with the most amazing unspoilt view of the beach and ocean. The beds were so comfortable, and overall the room felt luxurious (sheets, towels etc). The breakfast was hands down the best breakfast I’ve ever had! Table service and incredible food and coffees! Overall would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break in an amazing location.

Breakfast was very good, with a good selection of food on offer. Pancakes made to order which was great for the little one. The guest house was fine, in a good location with a few parking spots outside or around the back. Right in the center of Enniscrone, so a very central location. You can use the other facilities in the Ocean Sands hotel as well so that is good for rainy days or longer stays.

The location was beautiful. Our view was the ocean and the sunset, amazing. We stayed one night only as we had a wedding in a near by hotel. The staff were so friendly. I saw they had apartments also which is ideal for families or couples looking for a quite break (pool and playground for kids) and right on the beach! I hope to return one day.

The house is remote but a short drive takes you to the beach at Enniscrone or into Ballina. Beautiful views of sunset in evening from the back of the house. Very comfortable and clean. Good base for travelling around Mayo area.
