Charming owner. Very kind helpful staff. Shower was new very clean, beautiful tile and a rain shower head. Came back to our room after shopping and requested a cheese platter for our room. Within 10 minutes had a smashing cheese and fruit assortment to go with our wine.

Cleanliness, staff friendliness and service, and breakfast were everything we could ask. The location is excellent for walking access to all of central Killarney. The Fairview has all of the charm and some of the quirks of older hotels.
This friendly and relaxed hotel has superb views of Killarney's Lower Lake and MacGillicuddy Reeks. It is a gateway to the Ring of Kerry on the shores of Loch Lein.

This is a hostel. At best. The only reason we stayed, after realizing how run down and bad it was , was because after examining the mattress and sheets they seemed clean and fairly new. I was worried about bed bugs, etc from the condition of the hallways and room. Our door frame looked like it had been kicked in, the room was so small there was no where to put anything. The bathroom door clearly had a hole punch that was covered over. The mold was pretty bad in the shower. We decided to not shower here. And we slept without touching anything. We did examine the bed for needles. Thankfully nothing. But this place gave off crack den vibes. Seriously - if you can afford something else - book at another place

Beautiful hotel, great location! The hotel is luxurious and wonderfully decorated. Room size was larger than most European hotels. There is a cafe and restaurant attached as well which was very convenient if the weather is rainy. Numerous shops and pubs within a one to five minute walk. Would definitely stay there again and would also highly recommend.
