I booked the rooms for my husband and I as well as my 80 year old parents. The view as we approached was STUNNING and the entrance was so gorgeous! My parents were so so excited and that really was the reaction I was hoping for. Our rooms were adjoining but the second day, the power in their room mysteriously went out and they had to change rooms, but they were still on the same floor. I did miss the lovely blue lights under the sink and tub that weren't working in our room (306) and only knew about them because I saw them in my parents room (304). But that's a tiny detail. The rooms were lovely and the bathroom was fabulous, especially the tub! The staff in every instance was professional, kind, and magnanimous. I'd like to specifically commend Ms. O'Rourke who was such a pleasant shining face each morning!! Always a pleasure to chat with her.
I hiked many of the trails around the lake and said they were gorgeous. We ate at the fine dining on Saturday night and my goodness!! I've had many great meals and this was definitely one of the finest. The artistic presentation was superb and the taste of the many components was a treat to explore. Seaweed!! He made seaweed tasty!! Haha
After 2 weeks touring beautiful Ireland, I asked my parents what their favorite part was... Slea Head, Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, so many other amazing things we saw and did... and they immediately said Castle Kilronin. So thank you for a lovely stay and more importantly, a lovely memory for my dear parents as this might have been their last big trip. (Hopefully not!)

Very elegant house in a beautiful serene setting. Kate was an excellent hostess & we enjoyed a delicious and convivial breakfast with fellow boarders in the morning. Our most luxurious and enjoyable stay of our trip. Will recommend to all, including friends who plan to go to Drumshanbo.

Everything!!! warm welcome from Carmel, lovely bright spacious room with very comfortable bed and great shower. We enjoyed the breakfast, the lady was lovely. Nice and peaceful stay.

Really enjoyed peace and quietness.Brilliant location.wWeather was beautiful enjoyed the wals around hotel Staff so welcoming beautiful fresh smell of lilies in main foyer room very clean comfortable bed . Breakfast amazing with so much choice. Loved my time using spa facilities and slep like a log comfortable bed and room very spacious.We hope to Have another hotel break in Lough Allen soon l will recommend a stay to my family and friends.

The area around Drumshanbo is very, very pretty.
The area around Drumshanbo is very, very pretty. The town itself is small but hospitable and if you are interested in local history, it actually has great significance. The street are well-maintained and looks like plans are on hand to keep upgrading facilities. I visited at a quiet time but there are several watering holes and at least one very pleasant coffee shop.
The whole experience was flawless. Such a warm, cosy and wholesome stay. The space and room were clean and comfortable. The bed in particular was like a cloud. The host, Fiona was lovely and communicative. Everything you need for a stay in Drumshanbo is there. Lovely house and plenty of space. It was super easy, you collect the keys in a lock box and leave them on your departure. My partner and I didn’t want to leave we loved it that much. I plan on coming back in the summer and hope to be staying here again!
The Old Granary was the perfect base for our family holiday, Drumshanbo has loads to offer and Sligo, Carrick-on-Shannon and Lough Key are so accessible from there. The Old Granary was a cosy peaceful haven to return to after our busy days. Maria and Nigel were helpful and friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed
Great location in the heart of Drumshanbo. Very easy to find after receiving directions by message. Walking distance from all the shops and pubs in the town but most importantly The Shed Distillery, which we had come to see. Lovely cosy furnishings and very clean property. All the essentials supplied. Great place!
