We stayed in Lynster House for 2 nights to attend a wedding in Monaghan. The breakfast on both mornings during our stay was exceptional. The beds were very comfortable. Elizabeth was a fascinating and charming host
There is very little in Clones but we were there to visit...
There is very little in Clones but we were there to visit friends. You can eat in the Creighton Hotel in Clones but it wasn't great. We found a lovely pub restaurant in Belturbet called the Seven Horseshoes. If you want to trace your Irish ancestry the library in Clones has an excellent genealogy section and staff to help

I had personal reasons for visiting. Its a town that could do with some serious investment. It looks like the Government of Ireland is beginning to deal with this. I look forward to seeing the result.
