Adams Complex was everything I needed in the way of comfortable, clean, centrally-located accommodations in Tullamore. Day or evening, over a 10-night stay, I walked easily to shops, restaurants, grocers, pubs, all the places—and had a warm and cozy, well-appointed apartment to return to. The building itself has existed for centuries, so it's steeped in history and folklore. Long, narrow corridors, archways, trinkets, and wall decorations create a rather quaint palatial ambiance. That alone makes staying there worthwhile. The grounds surrounding the hotel are also quite picturesque, great for a morning walk, weather permitting of course. The courtyard, which features a lovely seating area, was closed, probably because it's off-season. I'd imagine it'd be open by Spring. We did not have any dinner/drinks, so can't comment on that. We did have buffet-style breakfast (included with the price of a double room), which was tasty, particularly the sausages. There was no scrambled egg option though, only fried.
