I would like to be able to say something nice about this property but did not get the chance to do so as they cancelled us on the day we were supposed to arrive for our stay. No decent explanation given, just a comment to blame Booking.com for the overbooking. It was also blamed on recent power outages due to storm Eowyn, however my booking was made weeks ago before the storm, with subsequent communication with the hotel. I was fed a bunch of BS and could subsequently not find any other accommodation near or far. As we had driven up from Dublin for a family celebration, we had to leave later that night and drive back to Dublin. Shambles!!!

Perfect for a couple or group of friends who want to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life for a weekend.
The location is very rural, but the roads are decent although winding. There are a few heritage sites within walking distance and even more within a 20 minute drive. If you have a particular interest in exploring, the host is only delighted to share his favourite spots.
If leisure is more your style, the house is well fitted with a kitchen, sofa and an electric fire. The spot is very clean and super cosy; perfect for a winter weekend escape!
