Lovely village has a cafe that has home made food and a great breakfast. Lots of lovely walks beside the river and 11km away is the highest pub in Ireland with out standing views and excellent food. It’s called top of the croom.

We had very good food in both the Abbey Hotel and The Mill Inn. The staff in both were very friendly. There are lots of walks in the area, short, along by the lovely river, and longer ones up the hills. There are many cycle trails mapped along the roads. There is currently some through traffic, but a bypass is being built. It is a lovely village and we shall certainly return.

We had our flight into Cork delayed so we're going to be late checking in, and the staff were thankfully able to accommodate this.
The hotel's location was perfect, size of the rooms was very good and the bathroom was clean and well equipped. The bar downstairs was well stocked and had a great atmosphere. The self-serve breakfast was varied and plentiful.
This gorgeous hotel was a delightful find in a quiet but convenient location away from the big town bustle. The staff were friendly and efficient. The bar and restaurant were great and the meals were delicious and hearty. We enjoyed our first night so much we returned for another night.
