Kilkea Castle exceeded our expectations. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast in the 1180 Dining room was royal. Dinner at the clubhouse was delicious. We didn’t plan on golfing but Andrew (the world’s best bartender) made it happen. The surrounding grounds are beautiful.
Burton Hall - Pauline in Carlow provides adults-only accommodations with a garden and a shared lounge. This homestay provides free private parking, a shared kitchen, and free Wifi.

1) The food: we had 2 superb lunches. 2) The staff: went out of their way to take care of us. Carless, we were attending a wedding at another property seven miles away on what (unknown to us) was the busiest weekend of the summer--taxis were not available. Joanna Fennel arranged for a staff member to shuttle us to the wedding events. 3) the ambiance of the working farm and the garden-to-table ethos; and 4) the bed was really comfortable.

staff was very nice and attentive. the curry leaf food was fantastic! the room was comfortable and had amenities including a robe.

The staff were friendly, it was clean and very good breakfast
We just went for a quite night away. We were able to drive to one of the shops n come back and relax with food and wine. Bathroom is lovely and has a lovely selection of shampoos/ conditioners Incase you forgot yours(we did!). Ideal to arrive with food and drinks and wrap up for the evening.
