Had a really lovely time staying in this little gem. It was a home from home. Only a short drive from several counties including Galway, Clare, Offaly and Tipperary. Service on the phone isn't great and no wifi as stated but that didn't bother us. Just get out and enjoy yourself, plenty of places to go and things to do. We went everywhere. Lena is such a lovely host and very informative of things to do around the area and also some local history. Really lovely lady.

The property had a large restaurant and bar. We were able to meet friends and family at the bar. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a beautiful location right beside the river and was close to town.

Ballycrossaun is a rural area in the Shannon Valley near Portumna, Galway. Central to most of the West coast. Portumna's Workhouse Museum was an excellent place to vist as was the Castle and Forest. Really enjoyed our visit to nearby Birt and seeing Lord Rosse's telescope (the biggest in the world 1845-1917).
