Breakfast , staff , walk to the beach , pool are amazing and make the hotel enjoyable.
Its advertised as a 4 star really its a 3.5.
My room was ok , bathroom badly needed to be fixed with damaged door, broken tiles
Dirty tiles and sealant around tiles with grime . Room was 320 euro for two nights .
Honestly overpricied 220 is more realistic . The reason being hotel needs a whole renevation .

Arklow has a very unique atmosphere about it.
Arklow has a very unique atmosphere about it. Lovely main street with interesting and visually quaint shopfronts. We walked along the river to the 19 arches bridge. It was lovely to have the cool, fresh wind in our faces and to just take in the unique buildings around. We popped down some narrow lanes and back roads to see the original buildings either in disrepair, but also being renovated again for new life.
The way of life and architecture of Arklow is so different from where we come from, it is fascinating to see how others live and how buildings and roads have emerged over time.
My husband played the song by Van Morrison, The Streets of Arklow to give us some understanding of its culture.
Make sure you visit the Duck Pond. It is really beautiful and has ducks and swans swimming on it.
There is never enough time to fully appreciate what a town has to offer. You need quite some time to absorb and understand its culture. However our very short stay made us appreciate Arklow and what it had to offer us.

Arkow had enough things to do.
Arkow had enough things to do. My son went to the leisure complex cinema etc. Moneylands is central with easy access to all surrounding towns and villages etc. Perfect location.
About a 20 minute drive was wicklow jail....brilliant time and our 2nd visit but the VR experience there is a must. 30 to 40 minutes drive to wexford town and its lovely. Water front and harbour. Lots of shops and nick nack shops. Lovely day out. Weather is a game changer if its good weather. Glen deloch is a good place to visit if the weather is good. We ate in gorey and the broken chair at moneylands farm.....perfect breakfast. We also made breakfast in our accommodation. Great facilities. There's nothing I'd avoid on my next visit. I can't wait to go back.

The people were very friendly and helpful.
The food was delicious. Where we ate.
Arklow itself was easy to navigate. We went on a trip into the surrounding countryside and found some spectacularly beautiful valleys.
The beach we visited was undeveloped and the scenery fabulous.
We really enjoyed our stay, and would return in a heartbeat.

This is a lovely place in a beautiful location and the external appearance of the pod belied the modern interior. However the Pod designed by a tall man- everything was difficult or impossible to reach, including the bed! The additional of a small step ladder or steps of some some kind would help.
Staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived.
They even offered to do some ironing while they cleaned our apartment.
It was nice and quiet throughout the day and evening.
We left Early in the morning and the locked gates were opened for us. This was a lot earlier than usual.
It was a lovely place to stay and there were nice views of the Arklow coast.
Will definitely go again and recommend to.other travellers.
Room very spacious and clean. Location Close enough to allow exploring other towns. And the natural beauty of the Vale of Avoca breath taking. Also meals in the Hotel side of Wooden Bridge Lodge, were excellent. And staff very helpful and friendly.
