We arrived on Friday and were shown the loft and amenities of the loft by a lively staff member, Chloe. The loft was spotless clean. Comfy beds, loads of room, and beautiful views.
It was winter when we stayed, but the weather didn't impact anything. The walks and views are amazing. The food in the cafes and restaurants was excellent. Everyone we spoke to was lovely and inviting from the staff in the bar to the staff in the restaurant from random people walking their dogs on the beach.
It was perfect for us 10, and if you didn't want to walk the cliffs or explore the beach, it was literally behind the loft where you could watch dolphins or seals in the water.
We all had an amazing time.
There are 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets so o queuing for either.
Situated in Youghal’s historic town centre, The Old Imperial Hotel offers secure parking and a modern Irish restaurant just 35 minutes from Cork city.

* Location 10/10: Right in the middle of town, among lots of shops and cafes. Perfect Location.
* Cleanliness 12/10: Everything was spotless, super clean, the restaurant and our room. Thank you!
* Food at their restaurant 12/10: We are both vegan, and the hotel restaurant had plenty of options for us, for everybody, really. Our food was delicious, and the restaurant fantastic, very warm and cosy in an icy chilly night. A pleasure eating in there.
* Parking 10/10: The hotel has their own private off the road parking, so handy. Fantastic.
This friendly hotel has lovely views over the sea and estuary and offers good-value food. It is a good base for visits to Waterford, Cashel, Cork City and Cobh.

We only spent one day in Ardmore itself as there is so much else to do close by..but Ardmore had a nice beach and playground and also has St Declans well which is nice to visit. We got food from the local shop and had a picnic on the beach so I can't comment on cafes/ restaurants. It had a little shop with a small selection of cheap toys which was just what the kids wanted so all good.

Ardmore is a most charming village, with beautiful walks on the beach or cliff. Summer is the best time to visit, the place comes alive then. There is a beautiful walk along the cliff starting just past the Cliff House Hotel. This walk is quite easy, take your time, enjoy the views, stop and admire the many birds and gulls that soar overhead. Watch the fishing boats leave and come back with their catch to the pier. Visit St Declans Well and make a wish. The walk will take you back via the Round Tower which is worth a visit. There are cafe's, art galleries and craft shops, hotels and plenty of B & B's, the pubs are welcoming and offer food and entertainment during the holidays. A true Waterford welcome is awaiting anyone who visits this beautiful award winning village!

The location was perfect. There are 4 bedroom and we were 3 couples and 1 single. The view from each room of the sea was very special. It's beside the Cliff House Hotel where we had an amazing dinner one night.
We were given a complimentary upgrade which was lovely touch. The view from our room was fabulous. The food was nice, but felt there should be a bit more variety in the menu. Lovely cliff walk next to the hotel
