Our second stop in our travels in Bali was Bucu View Resort. I would give this 3.5 / 5 overall.
Positives:
1. All the staff members, I mean all of them are incredible, from helping to organise transport, helping to organise a Jeep Volcano tour and just generally chatting when getting back to the hotel was 10/10 all round.
2. The Swimming Pool, this is an incredible scene and one of the top selling points of the hotel.
Cons:
1. As other reviews have stated, there is bad damp and mould in the rooms in the block of rooms and not the suites. This is apparent when you get into the room and it does make your things smell damp. The shower is also very strange as it is in the room and it doesn’t have it’s own extractor fan or room so all the moisture goes into the room.
2. The breakfast is also a bit strange and was not to our tastes but this may just be us so worth a try to see if you like.
Was a pleasant stay but the damp in the room could be improved then it would be much better.

I loved everything about my stay at Sri Ratih Cottages. My suite, with both indoor/outdoor showers, was huge, spotless, and very comfortable. The bed mattress, pillows, and linen were in great condition. All the staff I encountered were so warm and friendly. I had 2 massages at the hotel spa and they were fabulous! Loved the pool and lush gardens. The breakfast choices were plentiful. I've been to Bali 10 times now and have stayed in many wonderful accommodations. But now, Sri Ratih Cottages will be the place I return to when I come to Ubud. Can't wait to return!

Amazing stay, with the most amazing and attentive staff. We have been to Bali over 12 times, and the staff here were by far the best we have ever experienced. Beautiful resort, and rooms were clean. It should be noted that the resort is about a 20 minute motorbike ride from ubud centre. We will be coming back here without a doubt.

loved the forest, nature, fruits, culture. but too many tourist traps, some spots which are recommended in every guide are just designed for instagram shots. stay away from these spots. rent a bike and travel around the island. find your own path. don’t rent a car traffic is crazy.

the view, forests, meals (many options for vegans), culture, local people are very friendly to tourists, very clean air but very very touristic place. there are many spots suggested in bali guides are all instagram places and locals are pushing you to pay some amount for each attaction eg when you enter a touristic place you pay an entrance fee plus additonal fee to see&visit more. i know the economy is totally based on tourism but this is not a friendly approach. there are some hidden spots you may travel by yourself if you can ride a motorbike and living a moment in these places is just unforgettable and must i suppose.
