I could not recommend The Jungle Inn enough!! We had the absolute best weekend in the jungle! The staff were the kindest, and friendliest and really made our trip so amazing! From the moment we got there, they welcomed us with Jungle Tea and a great conversation with Ade! The food was incredible, and as we are vegetarians it was so incredibly easy to find food. We had a great conversation with the chef Bronte who was so kind! While eating dinner, the staff played music and sung which really made our night! They had games to play and other activities and to be honest, we sat around the restaurant and outdoor area most of the day because it was a direct view into the jungle and along the river so it was the best view and place to relax. Anto and Ican took us on our jungle trek and were the best guides!! They were friendly, funny, and so professional. They taught us so much and gave us a great insight into how life is in the jungle. They also took us to the best spot for lunch, better view than any other group!! Our driver both from Medan and home, Asun, was such a kind and friendly person and made the long trip so comfortable. We also had the friendliest servers including Blade, and all of the others which I cannot remember their names. Overall, the best and unforgettable experience!! Highly highly recommend!

Large room, very comfy bed, extremely clean with hot water in the shower. There’s no AC but the fan kept us cool enough for the night. There’s a hammock outside and a drying rack. It’s a serene place to spend time in Bukit Lawang!

Waterstone guest house was a lovely location on the river, you could hear the river from your room which I loved. The staff were welcoming and friendly and willing to help with everything they could. The bungalows were very cute and spacious. I got a room upgrade so I had my own private bathroom which was really nice. My room had a mosquito net but I heard some others may not have. They were able to store my luggage while I went trekking for a small fee.
