The lads on reception were very welcoming even though they didnt speak much English, they tried very hard. We were in room 6, a big room with a window onto the corridor. There was a kettle & cups, towels, soap & toilet roll. The bed was very comfortable. Location nearer the edge of town on a quite street but close enough to walk into the main area ir many tuk tuks available.Good value for money. Would stay here again.

Polma is an excellent host and such a happy man; took very good care of me and did everything to ensure I was comfortable. We hung out for hours and he helped me with organising my trip in Sumatra (ferry/bus tickets) which I was very grateful for. The homestay itself is nice and cute with comfortable beds. Very happy !

Close enough to Sibolga and closer to beaches, AC good, gas cooking and utensils good.
Sibolga is not geared for tourists. Authentic experience though. Bring lots of Imodium and bottled water.
Trips to nearby islands can be organised. Looks however just talking to local fishermen is cheapest. Pondok767 seems the best place to eat. Don’t be surprised if you don’t see any other tourists.
