As we went from Bali to East-Java, my friends and I wanted to escape the more busy and touristy spots in Bali and experience nature in Java. Thanks to the host Sri we got everything we expected and even more! The tour she offered us included going to the jungle and the turtle beach in Meru Betiri National Park. Plus she showed us around in her town and we got to taste some local fruit and meet with the neighbours. The room was very clean and the view from our room was spectacular. The Indonesian food she served us had to be the best we experienced during our trip here.

We spent 5 days here and it was a great place to relax and unwind.
Nice lodge. Rooms were clean and comfortable. A lot of common sitting areas. Staff super friendly. 5 minute walk to nearby beach which we really liked. Huge beach, swimmable with small to medium sized waves. Almost no one there so felt we had it all to ourselves.
Overnight trip to Sukamade to see the turtles a must. One of the best things we’ve done in Indonesia.

The best Homestay I ever stayed at!! Great value for a private double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with free delicious breakfast. There is a garden as well so it’s a really nice ambiance, and the beach is already a few meters behind where the surf is. Hospitality is beyond perfection! Bapak Hendro & his family are one of the kindest people! I arrived in Pulau Merah in the evening with an injury and they made sure I am taken care of all the time. They even make sure I get meals and don’t go hungry because of my immobilized state. This homestay exceeded my expectations of a homestay, it is not just a guest house, it is “Home” where you are treated like family. I will come back for sure again! It is a very refreshing place to come to if you are coming from the busyness of South Bali. Also try their warung called Warung Hendro, delicious food made with love located right on the beach!

it’s proximity to a great wave break in a very remote part of Java. the common area was also pretty cool with hammocks to relax in, pool table and central yoga roof. NURUL! she is the best and most accommodating host. she can dial in travel for you to get to the camp and schedule off day activities in the area. she truly made us feel secure and welcome. Can’t say enough good things about her!
