We stayed in Mama Tia for 3 days n 2 nights. The homestay itself is very cozy, had clean bathrooms and confortable bedrooms and shared spaces. Also gives the opportunity of living in a local home with local people, which is far more fullfilling than staying in a regular hotel, specially in a rural area like Toraja. Moreover the views are really nice!
The family is so welcoming and helpful, you can order homemade food, laundry service, etc.
Special mention to Yansen, who was our main host and guide during our stay. He gives amazing vibes, was always in a good mood, joking and smiling, which we really, really appreciated. He has high level of English, which made communication very fluent.
On the guiding aspect he was the best, brought us to some amazing places, giving us the opportunity to inmerse in the local culture specially into the unique funerals.
The prices for the homestay, food, and guiding were amazing.
Overall made our stay in Toraja arguibly our best time in Indonesia. Would highly recommend to anyone willing to visit the area.
Hoping to come back sometime!

Great breakfast! Sarah is baking her own bread. We got fruits, selfmade jam and self made bread (banana-bread, baguette, pumpkin-bread, ...). Sarah has a lot of contacts and is doing a great job in advising her gests in every aspect. We also enjoyed dinner with her, which was very familiar and excellent. She is a great cook and a lovely person that you should not miss when visiting Tana Toraja.

We loved EVERYTHING. An unique place to spend a Toraja experience in the typical houses of the area. The food they offered us was delicious. The best thing was the people who run it: they are lovely and offer you everything they have. We felt in love with the experience. We felt at home and they treated us as if we were their family.

I really enjoyed our stay at the Sanduk. Its located in a very green area so it's nice and pieceful. The owner is very welcoming and always there to help. You feel like home here. We also got a pickup from the bus stop in the early morning and a early check in and late check out. We could use the kitchen and the shower is nice and warm. And its very clean ! Definitely recommend this place if your staying in rantepao.
Very nice people. The hotel needs a bit of renovation but it still has the charm and it is reasonably maintained (given the circumstances that Toraja has suffered a lot with the Covid in terms of tourism). Location, landscape and construction are definitely nice too. Food is good
Spacious, stylish room with natural wooden furniture, the terrace overlooking Rantepao. Breakfast with homemade bread, cakes and fresh fruit. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Location is perfect. Rooms are old, basic, but clean. Breakfast is simple. Friendly staff. I took a massage, really good. According the price, i can recommend this hotel.
