Beautiful garden and impressive view from basically the whole property. The pool was cleaned every day, basically the same can be said about the whole garden. Very helpful and polite staff. Day and night you basically only hear the sounds of nature and watch monkeys jumping in the trees. The rooms are very nicely decorated and in line with the aesthetics of the whole hotel.

Check-in was nice and easy, we arrived later than we wanted to be able to explore the island but the Host made it super easy for us with nice suggestions and easy scooter rental available in place.
Room was clean, warm and good water pressure. Shower gel and shampoo provided.
Keep in mind the price you are paying, don't expect a 5* hotel, but it's still a very good choice. We would easily choose this place again for 2 nights.

Laix and Leo made us feel so welcome, we even got a welcome fresh juice drink. The beds are so comfy and the views from the balcony were incredible. Especially loved the bath tub on the balcony. Would highly recommend the Balinese massage at the hotel.

Nusa Penida had lovely sights to view on the west side but the crowds at the tourist sites were huge even though we were told it was very quiet for tourists. The roads to these sights were “broken” as our guide described them. Full of large potholes and falling away at the edges. A very rough drive.
There were not many sellers pestering you to buy and not a place for shopping.
The beaches were nice in places, snorkelling to see lots of fish was nice but lots of broken coral. Many boats were moored from the beach. Beaches and most of the island had a lot of rubbish everywhere, plastic bottles, paper and all sorts of trash.
We found one great snorkelling tour with Lembongan water sports and saw Manta Rays, this was the highlight of our trip.
Wifi at our place to stay was not regular.
Our favourite place to eat was Khamara Restaurant.
Getting a taxi was very easy as they are always asking if you want one.
This island is not suitable for anyone with a physical disability.

Amazing views of the beaches, Cliffs. Kelingking beach is wonderful, you should start you trip from this beach and take time to go down to the beach and come back (lot of steep stairs, but worth it), then head to broken beach / crystal bay for rest of the day.
East tour is okayish if you start late. but if you start early, you can view sun rise and with tide you can enjoy Atuh and Diamond beach. In daytime water recedes a lot so you can't swim.

Nusa Penida one hour speed boat ride from Bali is a very beautiful place to experience and enjoy. One must visit this island and also recommend to stay at least couple days to experience the beauty of this place.
Place is of course very touristy and have to pay entrance fee for most places here. There were lots options for foods with local Warungs and some places also had Indian cuisine and restaurants

We loved the stunning views over the beaches in Nusa Penida, especially from spots like Kelingking. However, getting to the beaches can be challenging due to steep stairs, and swimming isn't always safe—locals warned us about strong currents at Crystal Bay and other beaches. It's best to enjoy the views rather than swim. Also, the island's rough roads make traveling around slow. Overall, it’s a beautiful place, but be prepared for some challenges!

A very promising island with great potential, but with a very low level of service and organization. It is necessary to pay for visiting any sightseeings, be it beaches, beautiful places, etc. In general, it is very dangerous to climb up and down from some places. Unsustainable tourism.
Unsustainable tourism. Roads clogged up, shocking amount of litter throughout the island. No refuse collection arrangements, island is going to be seriously affected by tourism in the coming years as is the case in south Bali…sad to see. People are amazing and friendly, they deserve better governance and sustainable tourism strategies immediately.

Maua is a great boutique hotel, probably the nicest one on Nusa Penida. With a great view on the main island of Bali and Mount Agung. We loved the hotel so much that we didn't feel like going out. Our room had a private pool but we enjoyed the main pool, which is bigger than the ones in other hotels in Bali. The food was good with a special mention to the breakfast menu and the Chinese New Year dinner. Also the staff was nice with easy check-in and check-out.
Staff was exceptional , especially Dita (who remembered our preferences & always asked how our day was & gave us recommendations for island adventures). The pool view overlooking the ocean was BEAUTIFUL. The food during dinner time was delicious , we had the Tuna Steak & the Pesto Pasta. Overall highly recommended & we will book again when we are in Nusa Penida. Best hotel stay in Bali our whole vacation.
Location / good to reach the famous spots around the island. Clean and big room, comfortable bed. Good breakfast and amazing view with a infinity swimming pool. The most friendly staff named Putu! :))) Very kind & helpful! Will be staying again at Beten Juwet at our next time visiting Nusa Penida again! (P.S: You need a motorbike to go around - the cheapest & the most quick way! - watch the roads!)
