We were blown away by the beautiful grounds of the property. Surrounded by cliffs and rice fields, Padi Ecolodge is absolutely stunning. The buildings are so beautifully designed and the landscaping is gorgeous. The owner was super lovely and helpful too!

I love the scenery of Tasik Maninjau in front of the homestay. Less than 10 steps and there is one of the most historic lake in Padang. Its very cold at night and early morning. Maybe thats the reason there’s no AC or even a fan inside the room. However,i think we need a fan inside for a ventilation. The bathroom is decent. There’s no nearby restaurant so you need to talk a walk to the main road,but thats not a problem. The people are friendly but the staring is there from the local. I think they stare a lot to the tourists :p
Above all,nothing can beat the beautiful scenery of Tasik Maninjau.

Breakfast was great. Staff were generally good. One manager was quite "suggestive" that he was being very special, hinting at extra tips, but in all, superior to the Grand Rocky. The location was great if you like great scenery and quiet solitude. Would not be so good if you like city activity.
