Toris and his family are the most genuine and kind people I have ever met. I felt like family only 24 hours after arriving (as a young solo traveler who has never been to Asia). They constantly showed me around their island. Toris also taught me how to surf in only a few days & his family taught me how to cook Indonesian style! I 100% recommend getting the full meal package, as all meals are home cooked and delicious! The location is perfect, right on the beach & only a couple minutes from the touristy areas of the island. Toris is one of the best people I have ever met & I will never forget my time spent here. I am already looking forward to coming back!

Pool table, ping pong, plenty of shaded board storage, ice cold fridge full of drinks. Big table with a plumeria tree for shade and a perfect view of the wave. Rooms were perfect and spacious. Lots of communal space and chill space. The food was INCREDIBLE, homemade meals every night. WiFi everywhere. What makes this place so special is the owners, Petra and the legend Site made everything so easy for us, from setting up travel and rides to boat trips and flight changes. I have stayed in dozens of surf lodges all over the world and this is by far the best one I have ever been to. Can’t wait to come back 🤙🏽

I can’t really express how happy I was with my stay here. The Kristov Wau family were welcoming and helpful, and went the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable. Even the family dogs made me feel at home 🐶 The accommodation is an amazing value for the money, and the location can’t be beat if you’re here to surf. And Mama Kristov’s cooking…wow !10/10, would definitely stay here again .

The location is absolutely incredible. By far the best view in all of Nias. Sanali and his wife were incredibly accommodating and helped to make my stay here truly special. Whatever was needed Sanali was there to help; from chartering boats to remote breaks to providing delicious meals… and cleaning up after us slobs. the room is nothing special, but if your coming to Sorake for luxuries your making a big mistake.

Arif (the owner) and his family are kind host who really try their best to make their guests comfortable. In his free day, Arif took us to a hidden waterfall and traditional village, even he drove us to the ferry port at night we left the island.
