Very clean, very comfortable, overall excellent. Wifi worked very well. Very spacious communal area and shared bathroom with toilet, which were a plus plus point. Had wonderful welcome chat with Yohanes. He has a divine breadth in everything about Bajawa secret and culture. The two young lady crews managing day to day operation here had very warm smiles, though they were not conversant in English. I had no problem in bahasa communication with them and it was always delightful being greeted by warm-hearted people.

Manulalu ecolodge combines basic budget rooms (twin and doubles) with ensuites, "jungle" villas (upmarket private villas) and the "Heavens Door" restaurant. The basic rooms were exactly that. Ok but I had problems with no hot water, sewerage smell and a general dampness in the room making it unwelcoming. The restaurant was excellent with sublime views and a good menu particularly considering the remote location. I didn't stay in the private jungle villas so unable to comment on these other than they looked great and had terrific views. Staff were friendly and obliging. Would gladly come again for the restaurant and views, however I also stayed in downtown Bajawa and preferred the accommodation there over the budget rooms at Manulalu.

Maria is cheerful and lively in engaging guests and infotmative about places to visit around Bajawa. It was good to have hot shower in shared bathroom at pretty cold night. Scenic outer communal lobby from where you can admire the dominating Mt Inerie from far. Free refill of water and coffese as one wants to have. Due to cold weather, it was however too cold to chill outside over a beer.
