there have nice massage places which is pretty affordable.
There lots of local food options and places to visit & also quite a few places with western food as well which are pretty nice to explore.
Cafes has been poping quite a bit in batam which are also a nice place to visit if you are looking for a good cup of coffee.
other than that they have very good seafood with very affordable price which are nice and tasty

Obviously because of the currency differences, taxi and meals were extremely better. but because of the cost of the ferry ride to and from Batam, it all comes to the same. Unless you're staying for 3 nights or more it wouldn't be worth it. Then again, there's really nothing much to see or do in Batam. Shopping isn't all that great.

Convenient place in a convenient location about 15 minutes from batam center ferry terminal. Popular nasi padang place and major food brands beside the apartments and convenience store right below for your necessities. Great apartment with 2 separate toilets and bedrooms so no need to take turns.
