I wanted somewhere away from tourists, where I could meet the locals. What a wonderful experience I had. Martin took me to the local market where I purchased fresh chicken. There is a minimarket a few steps away. A laundry across the road. Everything was nearby.

Beautiful small scale guest house, made perfect by our hosts Ari and Sindi, who run this guest house with a little help of their lovely kids. The 3 rooms, soon to be 5, are the perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of Bali. Quiet in the middle of the rice fields, but only 15-30 minutes away from Ubud, Sanur and Sidemen, this is a great basecamp for your visit to Bali.
The room is quite big, has a good musquito net and a good working airconditioning. The private half open bathroom is functional and regularly cleaned. The wifi worked great, stable and fast.
We had dinner and breakfast from their small kitchen and the food was wonderfully prepared and served with a big smile. Ari gave great advice on things to do every day, which was nice too. We fully recommend to go to this guest house!

Husband and wife team Coki 1 & Coki 2 are the perfect hosts. Both are warm, friendly and work incredibly hard to make their guests feel welcome in their home.
Coki 1 is an excellent cook and provides evening meals for a modest extra charge.
Coki 2 is a great tour guide and will provide in-depth advice as to the best places to visit. His tours and airport transfers are excellent value.
Communicating in English was no problem, but we truly bonded through the universal language of music.
We can’t recommend Telagamas House highly enough. We will be recommending our friends and family visit.

It was such a lovely place, the pool area is amazing! They have beautiful sauna on the spot and huge area for yoga/pilates… rooms were nice, they had everything you needed and also some super fancy water for drinking. You can rent motorbike through the hotel too. Brekky was amazing.

This place is a wonderful, new gem in Ubud. The staff was super friendly, the hotel and room are extraordinary clean and of a very high standard. There’s an infinity pool overlooking rice terraces and palmtrees. From your pool bed you can gaze for miles. Good for the inner work. And then there is the food, very good. Don’t forget to order a frozen soursop lychee cocktail. It is just paradise at Emana Akatara. Ubud centre is about 15 minutes to reach by Gojek/ shuttle service. It feels very refreshing to leave the busy centre and come home in the peaceful nature, and beautiful hotel room at Emana Akatara. This is the highest value I have ever encountered at a 3 star hotel. It should be rated higher in my opinion. Highly recommend for solo (female) travellers too. If you are doubting which place to pick: ~> pick this place.
The most delightful accomodation. Local family run single room villas built in a quiet location with close mini mart in 5 minute walk. 20min taxi ride to Ubud for hustle and bustle of more western orientated restaurants markets etc.
