The view from the swimming pool and also from our room was great. Air-conditioner worked very well. The room had a bold but tasteful design (black room :-). Very expensive village compared to what's actually available. Only a few restaurants which cost the same as higher-quality restaurants in the capital, and only a few things for sightseeers. Not much to do for days in case of rain.
I'd recommend against going to the cave, because people have been doing their business inside. Szilvásvárad is good for like a 3-4 days trip, but nothing more.

If you like travelling around and discovering new places in nature, Szilvasvarad is the place you should add on your list. Such a peaceful place with amazing nature and hills around. Perfect for a nice hike. You can also take a small touristy train which takes you around the hills, the scenarios are amazing. The specialty of the place is smoked trout. Trust me when i say that it is simply delicious and that alone is enough reason to visit the area.

Cozy place, my kids loved the stairs, wooden interior, and their private space upstairs. Convenient parking. Great location right at the entrance of the national park, supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, train station in walking distance. Éva is an awesome host and her bistro (Buteko) is strongly recommended too. Overall very nice experience.
The location of the apartment is exceptional and the hosts are nice and friendly. we've had a good stay. Parking is easy and everything in Szilvásvárad is easy to reach by foot. The apartment is very quiet. I'd say it's very good for "long weekend" kind of trips. There's a very good restaurant nearby.
The hotel itself is so beautiful. I was attending the hotel for a wedding and it was one of the most beautiful settings. Its in a very lovely area surrounded by nature and open space. The spa facilities are great and the outdoor pool was lovely.
We were staying in a new facilities that of course was nice. Additionally we could visit wellness center, but it was not fully functional but was enough for us.
The room is very clean, the bed is comfortable and the linens are perfectly fine. The hotel is generally clean.
