Breakfasts were excellent. We also paid for the dinner services on premises. Dinner services were very convenient and offered a lot of choices. The food was decent. Desserts were outstanding.
The rooms were clean and nice, though the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the beige carpeting could use a good shampoo or perhaps should just be replaced.
The location of the property is perfect -- close to Lake Balaton and the town center.

We only stayed for 2 nights but Siofok is a lovely little town with some very sea-sidey vibes. The town itself had everything we needed and the lakeside had some nice areas and "a sea-front" feel.
We would have liked a bit more time to look around, and to go up the water tower!

Nice little town but a little “tourist-jaded” perhaps? The highlight was the lake view and the trip to Tihany, but a lot of places in Siofok including supermarkets close by had shut for the season (mid-September)

Although considered touristy, my family and I enjoy Siofok.
Although considered touristy, my family and I enjoy Siofok. This part of the Lake is perfect for families with small kids, as the water is shallow and the sand is soft.
The first time we visited Siofok, we stayed right in the center. It allowed us easy access to restaurants and shops but we had to pay to use the crowded beach.
The second time, we stayed slightly away from the center which is calm and has free beaches.

The location is perfect - so close to the lake. The owner and staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. The food was excellent. There is the option of a kitchen and the garden is another lovely space. The town is only a fifteen minute walk.

Attractive Balaton location, many nice parks, especially...
Attractive Balaton location, many nice parks, especially rose park near the port, all clean, prepared for the season, nice staff at restaurants and bars. For those who look for nightlife this is a perfect location. Beaches are nice, clean, access to water is by stairs and you have to walk quite far from the coast to swim, so very suitable for kids. Siofok is a very pleasant location, we enjoyed our stay here, but we were lucky to stay on the beginning of the season where it was not so crowded. I recommend also to make a boat trip to Tihany on the opposite side of the lake and visit local abbey and surroundings that offer nice views over the lake. So enjoy! :-)

Lovely thing, just the prizes.
Lovely thing, just the prizes. Raised of 70 - 100 % from last year. Mandatory couvert in restaurants. Tons of people, many of them groups from Germany, wasted from the morning, shouting and behaving obscene. Not sure if I would honor that hellhole by my presence.

A funny looking building from outside, inside much larger than it seemed, hosting not too many rooms. A pleasent young lady at reception with good command of English (which is not obvious in that area). The room was not too big but functional. Although we had windows on the road side, it was not too noisy. The room had air conditioning making it comfy in the night. The beds were excellent and breakfast ample. The first hotel in Hungary where I liked coffee.
The hotel Plazs was not yet open so they replaced it for us at the same price for a better hotel Color Balaton with swimming pool and spa center.
This hotel has great location and perfect host. Not that far away from the city center and it is very close to the lake. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly. It deserves every recommendation. We hope to come here again.
