Pilvax Hotel Superior Kalocsa, hotel in Kalocsa

Pilvax Hotel Superior Kalocsa in Kalocsa provides accommodations with a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar.

While it is a 2-star hotel, it surpasses other 3-star hotels in Hungary. The staff is attentive and goes the extra mile. The rooms are modern, clean, spacious, and have decent internet. I'd return at any time. Recommended.. 🙂

We visited a couple of museums.

We visited a couple of museums. They were quite cheap but interesting. The first a folk museum had a fascinating collection of rocks and gemstones and information about the history of Hungary with traditional lace costumes and painted pottery. The paprika museum was interesting and had information in Hungarian,English and German ( and possibly French)on the types of pepper and how the crop is harvested and prepared to make different strengths of paprika. There was also information on local vineyards and types of wine. The town centre is being repaved at the moment but lots of interesting historical monuments and statues to see. Locals very helpful directing us to a local cafe with ice cream. Lovely Italian restaurant il Primo.
