We stayed at this hotel for a couple of days to relax at the spa. The spa complex is located separately from the hotel, which creates a risk of a high number of visitors, including families with children.
The rooms are modern, comfortable, and well-soundproofed, with orthopedic mattresses that are a great advantage. However, in our double room, there were two separate beds pushed together, which slightly reduced the comfort. A nice bonus was the availability of large, comfortable pillows in sufficient quantity for a good night’s sleep.
The windows of our room opened to a stunning view of the famous Basilica, which made our stay even more enjoyable
The ventilation system in the room is a big plus.
The hotel staff was friendly and fluent in English.

Esztergom is a beautiful historical town. People are friendly here, as in most of Hungary. Excellent shopping and dining options. Sometimes there is a problem with parking down in the city. Very good parking options around the basilica.

Esztergom is not a big city and it gives opportunities for travelers to walk to most of the sights. The importance of the city on the Danube was high and it is rich in history. The seat of the head of the Hungarian Catholic church is in Esztergom and the cathedral is stunningly beautiful with a cafe in the dome part, which provides uncomparable view of the city and the surroundings.
I would visit again if I have opportunity!

With the basilica looming above it, there's a real sense of history about this town. Very filmic atmosphere. Lovely river frontage and great cycleways and walkways. The town square has its own wishing well fountain a la Trevi.
it's close by train to Budpest and definitely worth a weekend or more stay

Lots of colourful pansies everywhere, a very clean and well kept town with plenty of cafes and bars. Wonderful views over the Danube from the castle at the top of the hill. Well worth a visit as it is less than 2 hours from Budapest on the train.

Esztergom is a charming little town, with pretty streets and a wonderful cathedral to visit. It's easy walking distance everywhere. We ate in the evening in a great restaurant not far from the river called Mediterraneo, which we would thoroughly recommend. There was also a cracking little venue called Sportalsó which had live music on.

The scenery was really nice, but we couldn't get up on the train, which was supposed to get around the town.We wanted to go for a boat trip or something, but it was closed and not many information was around about that. The bus which was taking us into the town was clean and nice, the price wasn't expensive either.I recommend Paddy's,it was perfect, the food excellent, not to expensive and the service also excellent.

Amazing location for us, as we were there as tourists and visited the Basilica, the two restaurants we used were within a 10 minute walk, and the pretty town square was just down the road.
Rooms were quiet and clean, breakfast was ok, free parking was easy at the hotel.
No advanced payment, we paid on our last day there.
Check in / check out was very quick and easy, the staff were lovely and friendly.
Hotel was better than i expected. Price included both breakfast and buffet dinner and also entrance to the waterpark.
Breakfast included even sparkling wine :-). For dinner they have nice selection of wines for every budget.
Very easy to walk to Slovakia and back. Parking area is large although you have to be careful should you wish to park a very large car a la Superb or Escalade.
