We were in tranzit so we just need a nice place to sleep. We arrived late in the night, but that wasn't a problem. The room was clean with very confortable beds and pillows, just what we needed. It was perfect.

The hotel is a filthy infection bomb.
It's nothing you can appreciate there.
1. They tried to bill us before arrival even if it's mentioned that you have nothing to pay in advance.
2. The room (double) was under the roof, no air, hot, full of old furniture in bad condition.
3. The fridge was out of order (water inside and on the floor)
4. Found one hair on the sink in the bathroom, the sink faucet was rusty
5. Old towels in bad condition
6. Lights worked partially
7. Problems to close the door
8. The receptionists didn't say hello
The biggest issue is the filth. The rooms are stinking. I've never imagined that this still exists in a European country.
Booked 3 days, stayed 2, all hotels were booked because of the Eger wine fair but I wanted to get out after 2 minutes. It was a torture to stay there.
Hotel Eger & Park is next to Gardonyi Geza Theatre in Eger's historical centre. It features a restaurant and a fully-equipped health centre with a gym. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Enjoyed the thermal baths and the valley of beautiful women, but the castle museum was a bit of a letdown. Definitely wouldn't spend more than one night here, but could even just pass through it for a short visit on the way to somewhere else.

Eger is an incredible location to visit! It has it all! From historical sites to thermal baths & wineries. Something for not just all ages but also budgets. We over heard people talking about an excellent restaurant at the citadel and indeed 1552 restaurant was esquisite!

We made the mistake of coming during the winter, we really wanted to enjoy nature in the mountains and to visit the national park. Due to weather conditions we couldn't do much and the national park was closed. The steam train nearby was also closed. It's a cute village to visit, i bet it is more beautiful during spring/summer/autumn.
Korona hotel was a good experience. Good location in the city. Good and comfortable rooms. The SPA department was really good. The wine tasting down in the tunnels deep under the hotel was an experience with a wine knowledgeable guide who spoke perfect English. Booked with half board and the food was very good. Next time I'm in Hungary/Budapest, I'll probably go to Eger for a few days and stay at the Korona hotel just because it was so nice and relaxing. Also visited their Beatles museum which is worth a visit.
The hotel is more beautiful in reality than in the pictures. The owners of the hotel are a kind and welcoming couple. The cabins were small but clean and equipped. The cabins are in a beautiful and huge garden with hammocks hanging between the trees, and places to sit . Inside the garden there is an organic garden that the owners of the place cultivate and let me sample the wonderful tomatoes they grow. There is an air conditioner, which is excellent and definitely not typical for Hungary.
We had a most enjoyable stay. The hotel is within short walk to the centre with its many restaurants and shops. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful especially Ana. Our room was very spacious and well equipped. We have no hesitation in recommending Aqua Villa for a stay and we hope to be back
The location was excellent, right next to the minaret, Castle, and the Turkish baths. Great for a 1-2 day stay in Eger. Also, Eva the host was very kind and friendly and was happy to give suggestions about what to do. I appreciated the personal touch.
The apartment has a well equiped kitchen with bonus cofee and tea. Location is excellent close to Eger cathedral and the historical city center. Free parking is available around the building.
