It was okay. It was nice and hot. It's just that the insecurities there wasn't pleasant at all. Couldn't go anywhere, couldn't visit any place, couldn't even go for a walk on the streets.

Port-au-Prince is a busy town with California traffic. Oasis was my sanctuary. I love their beautiful garden. There are two places to shop on the premises. This is a luxury hotel that I will never forget.

Port-au-Prince is going through many changes. Growing pains sort of speak, but it will be better for it in the long run. I stayed in the Petionville area. The people were very nice and the food was great. There are lots of business opportunities in this city.

The city of Port au Prince is is semi anarchy, visitors are advised not to go anywhere near the city center, taxi drivers will not even take you there.
Most of the former attractions no longer exist, are closed or vandalized.
For any visitors, it would be best to leave the city and see other parts of the country in a not so dilapidated state. The topography and geography are or can be very attractive.

Parts of the country is current going through a lot of issues due to corruption. Upper Delmas and higher still offer a great deal of adventure and relaxation. If you are going here for the first time make sure to have someone who has great knowledge of the roads. Food was amazing as always and local bars and hangouts are the places to be! Choose your hotels wisely!! I cant wait to go back!
