The location is also excellent, because if you arrive by car it is easy to get out of Jelsa and visit the island, and if you are on foot, the beaches and the town center can be reached in 10 minutes.
And finally, it was a pleasure to meet the hosts as they are really warm, funny, and easy-going people.

Andrej is one of the kindest human beings that I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He went out of his way to not only pick up me and my cat, but also to drop us back off at the ferry from Stari Grad (30 min drive each way). I came during the off season so he happily offered to take me to the grocery store, as everything in Ivan Dolac was closed. The apartments are very nice in a beautiful location (2 min walk from the beach) and are at an incredible value for money. There was nothing from the facilities that were missing and I had everything I needed for a great stay. We ended up getting along so well that we went for fun night out on the town in Jelsa (15 min drive) which is a must visit. I am happy to now call Andrej my friend and if I ever make my way back to Ivan Dolac, this is the only place I will be staying. Thank you again for everything Andrej, my stay couldn't have gone better.

Very spacious apartment and very comfortable. 5 min walk for swimming spots and 10min from Mina beach. Great for longer stays. The 2 air con units helped a lot to stay cool during hot summer hours. Lots of little details to make everything convenient, like hooks at the right place for tea towels or light switches by the bed. Also the hosts were extremely helpful and responsive. They even offered us a ride to the bus station at the end of our stay. Very good value for the price.

I absolutely loved the place! It was quiet and remote, just enough to relax, but also it doesn't feel deserted as there are a couple of bars and restaurants and people are driving to this place so it is not empty. It's easy to travel by taxi from other places in Hvar.

Zavala is a place with mesmerizing sea view, smell and isolated feel. A good place for a good rest.
Where to eat? Davor is a restaurant that attracts tourists outside Zavala, and it is a great place, however, I would prefer Skalinada restaurant, hidden nearby the beach, with a nice terrace and great chef. I think it was the most tasteful food I ever tried.

There are no street names only numbers of houses in Zavala, it can be difficult to find your house, ask your owner in advance! There is only one little shop in Zavala, but we enjoyed that it is a quiet place and if you want to do the shopping you can go to Jelsa. There are more small beaches, we liked the one in front of hotel Skalinada it is free, not only for hotel guests, there is a superb bar there, we loved to drink virgin Mojito while sitting in the shade of big olive tree enjoying sea view!
We had a wonderful stay in Casa - Gorma apartment! The location is perfect, few meters from the sea and the view from the terrace is breathtaking. The area is pretty quiet and apartment is equipped everything you need.
Although we did not meet the host, they were in touch with us whenever we needed them for general informations and also to give us some recommendations to have the best time in Zavala.
Perfect hotel. Amazing view directly from the hotel room. There is a panoramic pool. The restaurant is ok. Tasty dishes but a little bit overpriced. Very good service, friendly staff. Nice waiters. Friendly owners. Cool trip to the island Hvar. Tunnel. Own beach is also amazing. Extremely clean and crystal clear water. Perfect blue color of water like from Bounty ad:)
Zavala is a perfect vacation place! The house is close to beaches, and the apartment has a wonderful view. The apartment was specious and perfectly clean. The owner and housekeeper are friendly, helpful and kind.
