Amazing. Was there for 6 nights. Still a little tad short.
Amazing. Was there for 6 nights. Still a little tad short. There is just so much to see and do in Zagreb. People in Zagreb are so super friendly and nice. Take a walking tour, you will not regret it. Tip: Don't bother driving. Just bolt! It's relatively cheap and so much more convenient.

It wasn't very interesting in winter.
It wasn't very interesting in winter. All the historical monuments were being restored, covered with scaffolding. The city seemed dusty, dilapidated, grey, not very beautiful. In addition, it was quite difficult to get to the famous Plitvice Lakes and Krka Park, so plan everything in advance. However, the cuisine is delicious and not very expensive. You should definitely go to the Stari Fijaker restaurant, but you can get there by prior arrangement through their website.

Zagreb offers a beautiful mix of historical charm and contemporary sophistication, making it an excellent introduction to Croatia’s rich culture. While the cost of enjoying the city might surprise budget-conscious travelers, its vibrant energy, cultural depth, and picturesque surroundings are beautiful, however, the south has much more to offer for a similar price point, especially in the summer. If you want to visit an impressive city in the winter time, better go to Vienna.

Zagreb has a lively atmosphere and great hospitality.
Zagreb has a lively atmosphere and great hospitality. People is very kind. We were there for Christmas Markets: nice decorations, good music everywhere. A city to live on foot, but also well served by public transports, especially by trams. Old town is very nice, with lots of good restaurants serving Croatian food. During Christmas time a must-do is to skate on the wonderful ice arena in Tomislav Square.

We suggest this lovely hotel to stay in Zagreb. Inside it's nicely decorated and clean. We stayed in a room with 3 separate beds, all of the beds were comfortable. 🙂 We loved the breakfast area, and the breakfast as well, it was very varied and delicious. The tram stops near the hotel, you can reach the city center easily.
Best hotel ever! It was better than I could ever expect. Room was perfectly clean, big, very comfortable. We asked for kids bed, and they gave kids bed, kids toy, kids chair and everything what we could need for baby, that was super nice. And breakfast super nice too! My top in Zagreb, without doubts ❤️
The room was perfect; we had the junior suite that comes with large space and a luxury setting. The hotel is located not to far from the city center and is breathing the grandeur of the past. The hotel staff was exact what you would expect from a hotel with this class. Very friendly and helpful.
