Hotel Andrija is an incredible hotel for kids who love everything about the sea! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were on a big underwater adventure!
Rooms: Our room was decorated with shades of blue and marine stripes. The beds were cozy, and the bunk beds had special night lights that looked like jellyfish, which made bedtime super fun!
Fun Activities: We loved the large indoor marine-themed play area with many activities to enjoy! A big shout out to Jeton, one of the animators who was super kind, patient and loving with kiddos.
Pools: The highlight of our stay was definitely the water park! It had multiple pools, a lazy river, and exciting waterslides. There was even a splash zone for younger kids, which was perfect for our toddler.
Staff: The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome.

Sibenik is a great place to stay for the town & sights there...
Sibenik is a great place to stay for the town & sights there, but also as a springboard to get to Split/Dubrovnik Kkra National Park & local towns. The Sibenik card was a good idea in theory, but we found some sights (The cathedral) could not process the QR code that we were issued with. The bus station also could not issue the 3 day bus pass & we had to go to the Tourist Information office where the very helpful guy phoned the supervisor of the bus station. We then had to return to the bus station to collect our 3 day bus pass.
The old town is full of interesting history, the museum a real gem too. Despite going to Sibenik mid October, there were still hoards of tours from the cruise ships, making the visit to the cathedral very difficult.
Not great for vegetarians, with pasta/pizza available at many places. Definitely wouldn't be easy for vegans!

Don't overlook Šibenik.
Don't overlook Šibenik. Five nights was barely enough to enjoy all the area has to offer - and that was in October. In the summer months there would be more boat trips available and more swimming opportunities. Though of course the benefit in October is the lack of crowds. The Kyra National Park is a must. Boat from Skradin takes 20 minutes and then there is a circular walk of about one hour around the waterfall with plenty of place to rest or have refreshments. Very interesting and beautiful. There are numerous islands to visits and beaches with the clearest turquoise water. Driving is easy with very little traffic outside the towns. There are numerous excellent restaurants along the waterfront as well as in the old town. Zadar and Split are one hour away by car. Sibenik is a delightful place as well as a good base for exploring. It has its own beach too.

The cultural vibe, the friendly people, the manageable size, the proximity to attractions, and the interesting history of the city all make sibenik special. It's a very safe community full of activities, if wanted, or quiet picturesque walks at sunset. The food is also spectacular and reasonably priced with beautiful presentations.

We loved Sibenik and it was very near to get to from our apartment. A lovely old historic town with lovely winding streets. A good choice of restaurants and little shops and a real nice feel to it. Definitely worth a visit.
We were only there two nights and ate at No. 4 Restaurant which was lovely. The food was really good and the waiter was really attentive and friendly. His English was really good and we had no problems at all with anything. Lovely night in a lovely setting.
The other restaurant was Galerija Sibenik again in the old town. This was lovely and the food was excellent. Our waitrress was charming and very helpful. We can recommend both these places.

Arriving by train means you see the worst part of town to begin with. Once inside the old city walls, it's a delightful experience, particularly in the evening when the day trippers have left.
Narrow winding streets, lots of nooks and crannies, lovely bars, cafes and restaurants. Smashing harbour area for wandering. Old fortresses, beautiful cathedral and many, many really REALLY old and very beautiful buildings.
Having arrived from Split, the slower pace and less frenetic atmosphere was a delight.

You can 'do' the whole place in three days/nights.
You can 'do' the whole place in three days/nights. There's plenty to see, do, eat and drink. The whole town is kept proudly clean and we felt very safe throughout our five night stay. The beach is fine but the town is much better.

The most beautiful room of my whole stay in Croatia (4 weeks). Nice decoration, a stone wall in the room and also in the bathroom. Great comfort, cleanliness, soundproofing, quietness. A very friendly and caring owner, Lana, a painter, who has a gallery not far from there. An excellent address in the historic center of Sibenik. I should have stayed longer in the beautiful city of Sibenik and in such a lovely room. Thanks a lot, Lana, for everything and your kindness.
New, modern apartment with all new appliances and very clean, including a very spacious terrace with an absolutely stunning view. Coffee machine (Nespresso) with coffee pods included, they even provide laundry tabs to do laundry (in the new washing machine provided). The location is also great. Walking distance from the beach, old town and even three Forts (all within 1,5km). This was by far the best apartment we stayed at during our whole trip to Croatia.
The best apartment in Croatia we had the opportunity to spend our holidays in. Very clean and well-equipped. Beautiful view from the terrace. Only 10 minutes to the city center. on foot. A wonderful host. We recommend!
Lovely host, nice common areas, well equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms, close to centre and bus station. Best hostel i stayed in throughout my entire trip in Croatia; was the least expensive and the most enjoyable!
