The apartment is very clean and spacious, everything is just like on the pictures. It has two bathrooms and many balconies. It's about two minutes walking distance to the beach. Also very close to the restaurants and supermarket. The owner was great and very helpful.

Beautiful little place with amazing beaches, nice restaurants and very suitable for all kind of activities like walking (very nice walking path leading to neighbouring place Tucepi), cycling and running. Loved restaurants, bars, not too noisy, very enjoyable and clean. Favourite eatery was Roko high class restaurant and Portbello with Italian style food and great wine.

The place is typical for "Makarska riviera" medium size city with enormous number of places to rent.
Unfortunately in high season it becomes too crowded for people who search for quiet and peaceful vacation location.
During cloudy days there`s a possibility to hike in mountains nearby - very interesting places to visit. (also by bike - if you`re in shape :D)
Local restaurants serve most type of local food and beverage. It means you can choose from variety of options and might not have to repeat your menu for a week or two!

Podgora is in my opinion much more pleasant for stay than...
Podgora is in my opinion much more pleasant for stay than Makarska, as it is easier (and cheaper) to find accommodation in the "first row to the sea" and close to the beach. Also it's a quieter, more relaxed place than Makarska

If you are looking for a peaceful holiday centered around a brilliant hotel and a beach, this is a place for you. Plenty of nice restaurants and bars on the promenade, some with live music.
Those looking for clubbing all night - avoid. This is not the location for you, and you will look seriously out of place lying pissed after yet another drinking session with pals.

We have been to Podgora 5 times now, and we always really love it there. We are going there, as we would go home. It feels really great when we arrive, the smell of the sea, and the smell of the pine trees.
The best restaurants were Portobello Bar and Riva. We ate like 4 times at Portobello, we had our best italian food ever, even better than in Italy.

Podgora is a good sized resort on the Makarska Riviera.
Its perfect for families, kids, or couples. The main promenade along the beach has a big variety of cafes, restaurants, pizzerias, and its a nice walk overlooking the beach . Very scenic to have coffee or meals next to the sea.
On the promenade theres a Studenac supermarket, post office, shoe shop, a pharmacy, and a few beach stuff shops. Theres also a fruit market with fresh produce like peaches, and watermelon.
Our favourite spot for coffee or a drink was Banana Bar, which most nights had live music (we really liked two guys on guitars playing ballads like Eric Clapton, Pink Flloyd etc) , and they would also add tables right on the beach at night which was a nice setting.
Best food we ate was 2 Monkeys, everything on the menu was good.
They also have outdoor garden massage place in the back which looked very tranquil.
If you fancy a bit of night life you can head to nearby Makarska which is a bigger beach town and quite lively.
Podgora has loads of boat trip offers to near by islands , and some water sports like parasailing.
Overall very nice Croatian resort

Really pleasant accommodation - clean and in a good location. The apartment had everything you needed. The photos correspond to the current condition. Mrs. Sonja is very accommodating and pleasant, communication with her was very good. The accommodation is close to the beach - just a few minutes down the stairs. Podgora is a nice and quiet resort with large beaches and a pleasant atmosphere.
Super contact with the owners. The lady on staff was very nice and helpful. Nobody was nosy. The cleanliness was top notch. It was very close to the center at the same time it was quiet area. I highly recommend this place for a vacation.The small pluses, but important is that the toilet paper was free, which is not the norm in Croatia.
This was our third stay at Medora Auri Hotel. My family came from Podgora (we live in Australia) and I always love to come and visit family. We can't fault the room, location etc and the meals are just fantastic. The best breakfast in 5 weeks of travelling in Croatia and Italy.
The apartment in Podgora was great—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Nina, the host, was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!
