The breakfast offer is extraordinary and even if you stay in the hotel for a couple of weeks, you will not always have to eat the same. Everything was very tasty and very clean and tidy. The parking space is large, although there are a lot of people who seem to have a problem to walk one minute from the parking space, to the hotel entrance, so they like to park the car on the roads inside the parking space, which makes everything narrow for anyone with a larger car.

In general, Croatia is not a country - where you go to the beach. There is no sand and shoes are required for entering the sea or walking along the shore. Stones - everywhere. BUT if you are interested in traveling short distances and visiting incredibly beautiful small coastal towns and villages as well as inland - Croatia is wonderful.
Venice is about 3 hours away by car and is a wonderful day trip destination.
Pros: The hotel is in an excellent location for the so-called beach - as well as a starting point for excursions inland and along the coast of the peninsula. Hygiene is at a very high level. The food is extremely varied and excellently prepared - both breakfast and dinner. The beds and pillows are comfortable.
Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and a gourmet restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine, Hotel Velanera is located in the village of Šišan, 5 mi from Pula. Free WiFi access is provided in all areas....

The hotel is bigger than I thought it'd be. It feels like it was one of the places to be in its prime. The room is spacious, as well as the bathroom. The beds and pillows were comfy. My only issue was the A/C can only be set at a fixed temperature and settings.
It's in a good location and there are enough parking spaces at the property.
The breakfast very was good, with many options.
The reception staff was very polite and welcoming.

Very friendly staff. I was the only guest in the building for most of the stay, and they prepared me personal breakfast every day. The owner helped organize a taxi for me to/from Pula because I didn’t have a rental car. Location of the villa is perfect walking distance to local restaurants and the marina.

Wonderful little town, great selection of restaurants, a couple right on the sea front, Small harbour with a selection of shops and restaurants, and ice cream shops, couple of bakeries and a pharmacy. 10 minute drive to two large supermarkets. 20 minute drive into Pula. Plenty of interesting small boat trips that can be booked in the harbour. Thin pebble beach that runs for about 1 mile with a nice wide path to stroll along.

Lots of restaurants with tasty food, bars and shops. I recommend the restaurants Istra, Mimoza and Vizula.
The center or the promenade have great views.
There is also a viewpoint and the archaeological park of Vizula with Roman monuments, but only a few.

Beautiful, green town. Clean streets, not lively traffic.
Beautiful, green town. Clean streets, not lively traffic. Respectrul attitude to cyclists on the road. Lots of restaurants, but you have to wait a long time for your order because of the large flow of clients. Views are amazing! The sea is clean, but the further way from the city beaches, the cleaner and more transparent. Delicious ice-cream!))

In Medulin was not much to do.
In Medulin was not much to do. We spent 10 days, but from there you easily can travel to Pula, Porec, Premantura. Plitvice lakes was even doable, but that takes 3,5 hours for a single trip. But it was definitely worth it!

Medulin had everything I needed for an ideal holiday with children. Sandy beach, good food and ice cream. Footpath along the coast and cycle path. The center is just the right size, everything is here, and at the same time a calm atmosphere is maintained. A few minutes by car is the large city of Pula, full of history and shopping opportunities.

There was a whole lot to like. The hosts were nice, hospitable and available to assist where needed. The surrounding was quiet, although not far from the Medulin road. Two well-supplied supermarkets, Plodine and Lidl were just a short-drive away from the apartment. The apartment was also very good value for money, considering that it was a two-bedroom apartment. The beach was not that close, but with the car, the entire area is within easy reach in this respect.
We spent the weekend in Istria and couldn't ask for more. The apartment was spacious and extremely clean, equipped with everything to prepare a meal, private car park and air conditioning. The hosts were really nice and the position is excellent, only a 5 minute walk from shops, bars and restaurants in Medulin, and a 15 minute drive from Pula and from the Kamenjak protected area. Highly recommended!
The owner is very friendly, we could communicate by using Google translate app, that was enough to discuss any questions. Ice cream and cold beer were prepared in the fridge when we arrived, my children also got some treats during our stay.
Even my wife got a small nameday present package (this is celebrated both in Hungary and Croatia), this was an unexpected and nice surprise.
