Fantastic hosts make staying at their house as a truly cosy home experience on a walking distance from Plitvička Jezera National Park. Hosts even unexpectedly prepared a dinner for us as a sign of hospitality.
Only a 15-minute walk from Plitvice Lakes in Mukinje, the traditionally built Villa Knezevic offers authentic Lika-style accommodation made from stone and wood.

We liked absolutely everything, the hosts were great, the place is excellent. The property is really near Plitvice National Park. We had breakfast in the morning- excellent food. For sure we will visit again.

it seems to be one of the best autumn foliage location in Europe but the biggest problem for the first time visitor is how to navigate inside the park, there is no detailed information such as which lake and whick waterfalls are located and they are at upper lake area or lower lake area, how to take advantage of taking ferry and shuttle bus to have the best navigation inside the park. the visitor should pay 3 EU to buy a Park map but still very confused with information on the map. Meals price inside the park seems over priced in comparison with that in Zagreb city as well as car parking fee. There is no schedule for the ferry nor for shuttle bus. In comparison with the paper information given to visitors by USA national parks admistration, Plitvicka Jezera park servise is very far from visitor's satisfactory.

This place is magical, but only BEFORE the hordes of tour groups arrive. We got there at 7:05, five minutes after opening, and for two solid hours we were the only two people we could see. It was like the entire park was open just to us - an unbeatable situation. However, around 9-9:30 when the tour bus groups arrived, it was so crowded it was difficult to squeeze past people on the boardwalks, and lines for everything (boat rides, shuttles, food) were extremely long. The ONLY way to enjoyable experience this park is to get there early.

Confusing info around entrances to the park and...
Confusing info around entrances to the park and accommodation. Travelled from Zagreb by car on a Monday pm and seemed we had to state the time of arrival / entrance ie 1530 hrs. Had booked a B&B for 2 nights so we could make earl start on the Tuesday . Thus booked and paid for 2 of us for Monday & Tuesday Euro 120 . Also booked and paid for a tour on Tuesday ( Entrance 2 ) when we had notified the Park Entrance 1 as en route from Zagreb . At Parking for Entrance 2 on Tuesday the staff were not helpful about the double booking or selection of Entrance 1 and possible refund of Monday's park entrance , At the Entrance 2 , the staff were more obliging and saw we were going with a tour starting at Entrance 2 but advised we could not gert a refund for the Monday entrance fee even though this had not been used . Our boarding house owner rang up for us and was told we coulld claim by sending an e-mail explaining our problem , but we did not have internet connections .
the trip was great except for the lack of clarity around accommodation available in the park area against outside and need to havee prior knowledge about where a tour will enter and if they will do the park entrance payments .

Absolutely gorgeous. So many, varied types of waterfalls!
Absolutely gorgeous. So many, varied types of waterfalls! A national treasure, well worth a side trip. Was a little crowded, even on a rainy day in September, but crowds thinned out around upper lakes. Even the light rain didn’t dampen our experience. Route C was ideal for us but we did log nearly 15,000 steps. Parking was pricey especially on top of park ticket.

This was a perfect place to stay for our visit to Plitvice Park. We were able to hike around the area nearby the first day and walk to the entrance on day 2. Comfortable clean lodging with great food service.

More slaps - waterfalls then most people see in a lifetime.
More slaps - waterfalls then most people see in a lifetime. Lovely hike kinda busy though, over charged for most things 65 a day per person. they need to upgrade for those kind of numbers, more separation of groups tours. It was overwhelming by the end of day. Offer night tours could be the answer for the more adventurous.

We liked the location and the environment of the hotel. It is located in a wooded area of the Plitvice National Park. The attractions of the area are easily and quickly accessible by car and bike, but there are also several hiking trails accessible from here. The hotel itself is new and tastefully designed, the staff were friendly and helpful. House pets are alloved too. Our cat Ziggy enjoyed the stay. :)
The location is perfect if you’re planning to visit Plitvice Lakes National Park. I spent the day at the park and then stayed overnight at the inn before heading out. They do offer breakfast for an additional fee and I was super impressed with all the options they offered. It had the best selection and quality out of all the hotel breakfasts I’ve had during my stay.
Very close to Plitvice Lakes entrance 2 (4km).
We arrived around 22pm and the owner was waiting for us to arrive and help us to the room. The room is beautiful renovated with all you need. Comfortable bed, very clean, airconditioning and very quite in the middle of nature.
Free parking at the hotel. Highly recommended!!
Location is close to entrance 2 to the park, making it very accessible to explore the park. Breakfast is new door at Plitvice Hotel which was a lovely spread. Room had a nice balcony that overlooked towards the park
I really liked that Hotel Jazero situates 10 min from the bus station and few min to the Entrance 2 to Plitvice Lakes. I liked restaurant and bar as well. Really attentive personel and cozy atmosphere!
