This guest house is conveniently located, just a short walk from the Gate 1 Entrance. We had Room IV, and it was a very nicely furnished modern and comfortable bedroom with a refrigerator. The mattress was nice and firm, the towels and sheets were good quality. We had a large bathroom, with plenty of hot water in the strong shower.
The staff is attentive, friendly and helpful. There’s a pleasant communal sitting outside area and someone always came out to this shared patio to see if they could serve us something.
The food in the compact dining room was delicious, My husband and I ate there both nights of our stay. On the first night I ordered the chicken schnitzel and it was so good we both ordered it on the 2nd night. We also enjoyed a tasty tomato soup, mushroom soup, and the veal stew.
Breakfast was served in the adjoining building and was very complete: fruit, vegs, bread, ham, cheese, eggs, French toast, cereal, yogurt, etc.
One night we walked out of the dining room smelling like fried fish, and although our neighbors fish looked delicious, the smell was overpowering. Luckily it did not rise to our room, which was directly over the dining room.

Food was great, we had breakfast, dinner and an ad-hoc pizza. Don't recommend the steak though. Sauna was solid, pool too, we didn't use jacuzzi as it was late and it could use some cleaning.

Excellent buffet breakfast, good evening menu for delicious dinner served in the cosy, friendly restaurant. Perfect location for walking to the nearby entrance No 1 to Plitvice, which is the nearest entrance to the stunning views of the main waterfall. The Danica is in a pretty rural setting with flower beds around the main house.

The hosts were so thoughful and kind. This was perhaps the nicest location we stayed at on our two week trip through the Balkans and everything about it was incredible. The decor, the food, the room, the location, all were perfect. And again, the hosts were incredible. They went out of their way to make our stay memorable and I would go back to Croatia just to stay here. My only complaint is that we didn't stay here longer!
